Dan looked like an amateur
Patriots defense was crazy but Campbell going for it on almost every 4th down was irresponsible and desperate. All six 4th down plays failed and were effectively turnovers.
Man idc what anyone says. Jared Goff is not the issue. Dan Campbell, Special teams, and the Defensive skills are the issue.

@MaticSiiX Wilson didn’t win it, the defense did, he was only there along for the ride. He was better in his 2nd stint but cost them that SB. Cam Newton faced a vaulted Bronco D because he not an accurate thrower of the football. Colin Kap had his chance but couldn’t make the final play. Jury is still up on Jalen Hurts. He wasn’t anything special in his first nor second year.
Now will any mobile QB come close to what Brady has accomplished. I think not. Will any mobile QB do what Luck did behind a putrid O-line?
Yet people are still going to blame Goff blame the trenches also not having good defensive scheme is also not ok. Credit that to the coaches in charge.

A lot was missing for the Lions in this game! Changes need to be made soon before things are too far south!
I always said they’ll be a better team in games 6-12 than they are in the beginning of the season.

@J T right lol. All we ask for is some meaningful December games. The NFL central has 4 teams in it and we haven’t won that in 30 years and counting.
The defense is horrendous. To think the offense is going to score over 30 points every game is naive. There will be off days and thatβs what happened today. 29 points is still a lot of points. This team has way too many issues and I doubt Goff will resign with Lions if he can play somewhere else. Goff is blamed if the Lions lose and when the Lions win the credit goes to everyone but Goff.
@Mike K We need an elite head coach and an elite DC. We have none in Detroit.
It’s funny how they say yeah the other team is a good team but they should be saying every team is better than the Lions and then everybody’s taking credit for the reason why they lost but it’s the same thing every week and nothing changes everybody goes to the lions to make excuses and lose
Long, long time, die hard fan. My hopes were higher than they should have been for this season.
The crash was also harder.
It pains me to say this after 5 weeks. I’m done. Any more wins at this point hurt our draft opportunities. And we desperately need to draft more on defense.
You guys have been drafting near the top for a loooooong time. I don’t think that’s the answer.
@thanksfernuthin when you draft wrong, it plays a part. Nobody can really argue the moves and draft picks by Brad Holmes. Our fans seem to 4get we have a pretty much inexperienced coaching staff and we’re still rebuilding.

What do some of you below expect, it’s only year two of a re-build. We look good when we are healthy but this team has no depth and some of the starters wouldn’t be starters on most teams in the NFL. So I’m just hoping for some improvement over last year, but I’m also hoping we can get Stroud or Young. We are still a couple years from really competing if Brad Holmes builds this thing right.
@Sean Walters Look you guys are pissed about this teams franchise, yeah I agree itβs horrible, sucks b*lls for sure. Iβm just talking about the team Campbell and Holmes took over. After ripping apart there roster to expect this team to be good this year is just crazy. Iβm a fan I didnβt even know 1 person who would start at LB this year. Look my point is now right now lions are rebuilding if you think this is Brad Holmes dream team youβre on crack. Will the Lions be good by next year or the year after not sure but if not by year 4 then I agree bury them allllllllll.
@betamarklar I know the team is consistently rebuilding I get it. The franchise is wack I know, but if not rebuilding what do you call it?
@Mark Nikolaev Agree to disagree, the defense quit on Campbell vs Seattle. And the rest of the team followed suit the following week. You can keep hoping and praying that Campbell is “the guy,” just like the others before him. Instead of addressing the REAL problem with this franchise, the Fords.

Coaching staff got exposed. The glaring play that sticks out is allowing Hock to block Judon 1v1 when heβs already made both tackles look foolish. Seems like there was no plan B when what they were doing didnβt work. This isnβt on Goff. Teams now have a blueprint and we see it every year. Gonna be a long season
The team will start losing faith if wins arenβt produced even being in a rebuild. They should be 3-2 at the least right now bad coaching cost us a few games

Iβm reading all of these comments. Goff didnβt play well. Dan didnβt manage well. The offense of play calling wasnβt bad. There were guys open, Goff missed them eyeing down his first read. The defense didnβt play great, but they got stops, Dan like he always does consistently put his defense in stressful positions. If I do pick on the defense, poor tackling was they main theme. Bill knew how to beat Goff. And we cant counter that because Goff is one dimensional. And Danβ¦β¦. Dan Dan Dan. Kick the field goal .
Reynolds is average number 3 wr and Kennedy is a ps Raymond is a 5β9 heβs fast but not elusive no wiggle they were playing out of position against a good secondary they couldnβt get open
I donβt know what in the actual hell happened with them in this game but this was the worst defense Iβve ever seen in my life. And Dan having them go for it TWICE on two highly questionable fourth downs with half our team and top players out and injured, and having our offense get called the best in the NFL then the next week score ZERO! 0-29 score! Lost to another 1-3 team. Absolute embarrassment. And then Dan Campbell to go into the press conference after and say βThat was 100% on meβ MULTIPLE WEEKS IN A ROW! Absolutely ridiculous. I lost all hope for the season. Fire Dan Campbell!
I like goff very underrated
The issue is everyoneβs expectations were way to high this team had no cap, drafted for the future not now. Drop the expectation and watch for growth this started off as 3-4 year rebuild but I can say our defensive DC is lost. They fact he canβt spot the issues is a problem pulling Elliot this game and starting a corner at safety who never played safety is a tell tell sign he canβt spot the issue.
After the NFL tells the world that for the first time in history a team was #1 in offense and last in defense, the Lions come out and score zero points and the defense gives up one TD. Only the Lions!
Damn Goff looks and sounds totally defeated. (Of course I understand he just lost 29-0, but still)
