gonna miss watching this team on Sundays. Pumped for next year but time to play inspired from the start and not when backs are against the wall. Im waiting to see who brad re signs. And with the draft with 5 picks in the top 82 that could potentially be 5 new starters.

I would have loved to see Stafford under MCDC and Ben, because his grit and arm talent kept us in so many games. But I think Jared has just as much talent and can read defenses better and the trade worked out for everyone so far. Love having Goff here.
@Awolraven Me to. Goff is a different kind of qb, but he is a perfect fit for the Lions. Stafford was a gunslinger, Goff is a game manager.

Goff is our guy! I have to admit, I was pretty hard on Jared, fair, but hard. I have seen enough now where I am good with seeing how far he can take us. The Panthers game and this game convinced me that he can do what needs to be done to win on the road in tough environments. I have never been happier to be proven wrong. Always liked Jared as a person, now I can respect him even more for what he can do on the field as well.
I know the Panthers loss was embarrassing, but not because of Jared, he played pretty decent in that game, one of the few Lions who did IMO
I started really studying Goff this year, and what shocked me the most is how quick he is at his progressions. If you are hitting your third option before getting sacked, you are a very good QB. Goff a few times was hitting his 5th. The dude has elite stuff, and I, for one, am happy he’s a Lion!
We actually lucked out with Jared Goff. I loved Stafford and was upset with a new QB. But I am 100% behind Goff! He is REALLY good!

I am a life long Lions fan and I am also a Bills fan, we here in Detroit have mad respect for your teams talent style of play and coaching. Josh Allen is a heck of a leader and he has a Howitzer for an arm. We look forward to meeting you all in the SB next year. Goff will be even more proficient with this offense and he will have even more weapons in his arsenal.

Lions will now easily pick up Goff’s player option now on June 1st (or before). With his QBR of 127 in the later part of the season would easily gather him another $10 million AAV if he was a UFA shopping his talents . For the next 2 years Lions are getting Goff for cheaper than the league average for his great stats. If things go well an extension may be in order in 2025.
I give big credit to St. Brown though, a real clutch player that has great chemistry in the offense.

Lions fan here. It hasn’t been said enough how good Goff’s second half of the season was. This guy was practically a throw in with the trade of Stafford to the Rams, and just in his second season with the team he played some of the best QB I’ve seen from any Lions QB and that includes Stafford. I’m really impressed with him. Go Lions
remember when we suffered before Stafford to find any serviceable qb? always losing. 49ers get 2 hall of fame QBs back to back we have Joey Harrington
Dude yes. 1000 times yes…I’m more excited to see Goff next season than I ever was with Stafford. I love Matthew always but Goff is MY QB BABY! I’m so jacked for next season
Jared you were terrific, your game looked fantastic this year compared to other years you’ve had. But I was dead serious all year, I’d rather have 22′ Goff then 18′ goff
I loved Stafford here and I miss Stafford here. However, I feel the trade for Goff has worked out well here. I think both Detroit needed Goff and Goff needed Detroit at the same time.
