I thought the same thing. He said something about reading more. Maybe he feels he has more options in his routes? So he’s more in charge because he’s so fast? Idk hard to tell tho. Maybe after so many interviews, he’s just going through the motions.
He said the pace slowed down. He went from scoring 50 points a game and being the number 1 option to 1-2 targets a game in an offense that spreads the ball everywhere.

He’s been doing that for 4 weeks
I loved his answer for when they asked him if he had any individual goals. “Just wins.” He’s not a diva and he’s going to be a cornerstone for the Lions. And this week could be his breakout game. Campbell said he would get more reps this week.
I am sure he knows the playbook. Kid just got back on the field, he still need to develop that chemistry and get that awareness up.
Glad they didn’t rush him and he should see that rep count go up these next two weeks and hopefully extra games in the playoffs

This guy has only had a hand full of snaps all year and fans are already crying about his touches. Brad Holmes did not draft him on this yrs contributions! Yes he made it back this year but thts just to get his feet wet and get the speed of the defenses he will see. NFL secondaries are way more talented than even the great SEC players we see every year get drafted in the top 20….Give him some time to adjust to both the speed of the game ,the movement of his body and the chemistry with the offense. Hes not a possesion wr! who gets the ball close to the line pf scrimmage he needs some things to go right in order to just blow by a safety in the NFL like other routes that complicate the matchup so hell have a split second to speed by them. Let him learn how to set up his speed and how to use it in any coverage.
