@Isaiah Phipps I didnt say salyre was a tackle an it dont matter it feiler played rt he has played that for us so it best to keep that left side of the line as good as possible the only weakness is rt an we can scheme an have protection plans for that side if we don’t get veteran presence

@Isaiah Phipps salyer is a beast and can certainly play tackle, you just witnessed him pancake the number 2 draft pick and super athletic Aidan Hutchinson. Jamaree has the head and the work ethic to make it happen. Plus what did he give up one sack last year? He’s a stud!
He looks good, but the problem is he plays on the left side of center, and since the chargers already have a LT that would mean they would want him to play LG, but they already committed to the current LG and said they wanted to keep the LG and LT together. So, either RG, or RT, but since the chargers just drafted a RG in the first round, that would mean this guy might be their new RT. The problem is will he be fast enough to play at RT? If not than maybe kick him in to RG, and the 1 round pick out to RT. I’m interested to see where they will put him.
It’s always good to have a good back up
Feiler might move, or they want a successor to Matt when his contract is up

He played every single position on the O-line except center
He’s already better than storm
keep him on the right side. i really like ek but I think if he shares the backfield with spiller, it’ll be lethal. this o-line is coming together pretty well. if he’s ready week 1 they should start him. Hutchinson isn’t an easy assignment at 6”7, i think it’s time we keep the mediocre o linemen as backups for the bolts. also the chargers should’ve drafted wandale robinson outta kentucky if you watch his film he would’ve been a perfect third/fourth option as a wide receiver, and is extremely effective in the backfield. originally a running back picked up by nebraska.
I see him developing to our starting RT, maybe midway through this season or by next season. But once he pans out as our starting RT, our O line might become top 5 in the league

He looks like a mauler the way he finishes run blocks!
Your are way too optimistic. 32 teams passed on him to be a tackle, which suggest he is project at that position.
He’s a flat out beast. I mean the guy had to block 8 first rounders everyday the last 4 years lol

He turned Hutch into a speed bump 😮. I still can’t believe he lasted til the 6th round. His versatility makes for an exciting depth piece to start his rookie season. However if they give him a shot to win RT in camp I’m all for it. ⚡️🆙

He was good- but watch the whole game. Hutch was shut down by UGA’s gameplan, which was to run quick passes and run to the opposite side
Put him at either guard spot with Zion and kick Feiler out to Right Tackle. It makes way too much sense. I don’t know if Salyer is athletic enough to hang with the edge rushers in the AFC West to slot in immediately at tackle, but he would be a great guard now
I bet they were scouting him and would have considered taking him in the 3rd/4th if they didn’t get Zion. When he fell to the sixth they probably just took him because of the incredible value. They have someone that could quickly develop in to a starter.

Resigning Mike Williams, Palmer and Keenan Allen still good now this offense is well balanced to compete for a title now if we could solidify the RT position would feel a bit better but this team is well balanced now than before.

He looks really solid and provides depth for every single position on the line which was something that Staley coveted.
He is already better than the RT we have and could play there if need be. I am still hoping that they pick up a vet/RT on a one year deal (but I do not know what the contracts were for Van Noy and Callahan, thus not sure if they have the capital). Also hope that Pipkins and Jaimes will show a lot of improvement this year.
Maybe the Bolts can play RT by committee and keep the position extremely fresh-legged and protected by RB/TE chips and other schematic safeguards.
This guy can win the starting job in camp. I think now that we just signed Van Noy, we can focus our attention on getting 1 last impact player at DL or WR.

Solid pickup. Slater at LT and Lindsley at C are the only positions set in stone. I’m sure they will experiment with several different configurations given the versatility of Feiler/Johnson/Salyer.
People are confused on where he will fit in but just imagine… having all of our lineman including him on a run play like bro. Who tf is gonna stop the run

Congrats to the Chargers for getting Salyer! Have no idea how he didn’t get picked MUCH sooner. The hapless Falcons almost never draft Dawgs, but they finally got two this year.
Ever since Salyer committed, I knew he was going to be good! It would have been easy for him to have transferred to get playing time, but it says a LOT about him because he stayed!
