Not even mad as an Eagles Fan. I’ve always had his back. Thought we could sneak a playoff game but clearly we aren’t there yet. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson were abysmal in their 1st playoff outings and they’re now top QBs. Hurts will only learn from this and get better. No shame in losing to the GOAT anyways. Onto next season we go.

@Shawn Hewitt Quez is actually very good as well. Someone broke down Quez’s tape and he was open almost the entire game against the Bucs and Hurts completely missed him unfortunately. I’m a big Hurts guy but it’s really not so much the weapons. He just needs to work on his eyesight (game-wise) and progressions. He’s missed Quez for a massive amount of wide open TDs all year. And I’m talking WIDE OPEN. But he’s still young. Glad this QB draft sucks so we don’t have to worry about grabbing another QB.

Despite how inaccurate Hurts is as a passer, he still made plenty of big throws. He extended drives with his legs resembling McNabb and Vick. I’ll give him another year to improve his passing.

Hurts had some great moments but he needs to work on his passing a lot during the off-season. The eagles will have the cap space and draft picks to build more talent around him next year. All that matters to this team is his growth

Hurts can make the open throws. has a hard time with anticipation throws. also WR’s rarely get seperation on routes so some of it is on them aswell
People hate on this kid so much and I don’t understand why . He brought them to the playoffs with a winning record, over 3,000 passing yards, and had 22 touchdowns which isn’t to bad. If we look around the league and notice that fricken Daniel Jones doesn’t get as much hatred to his name. 😔

I like hurts but getting into the playoffs isn’t that big of a deal that year in that division I do agree they should keep starting him he could end up like a lengthier prime cam Newton hopefully
People don’t respect the division he’s in and he can be really inaccurate at times. But I think he’s gonna have a good career and people writing him off are being too short sighted. I miss the days when guys had at least 3 years to show if they were a franchise QB or not. Now if you don’t look like a HOFer after 5 starts, people are ready to declare them busts.
I’m expecting another jump in development this off-season.
Hurts just needs more experience his inaccuracy isn’t due to arm talent it’s more about the X’s and O’s and quality of receivers as well. Give the kid time he is special.
Jalen is 23. He’s 2 years younger than Joe Burrow, and the same age as several of the projected 1st round QBs this year.. I understand not being excited about what he is right now, but you have to be excited about what he can be. If the Eagles don’t want him, I bet theres a handful of GMs who would love to have him.
I think he’s alot like RG3 in his first season. hopefully if he can get a decent receiving core and some more defensive depth to help the offense abit and he’s primed for success. he’s gonna do better than Tua will and hopefully will lead Philly into being competitive every season against Dallas for the division

– confident and decisive with throws that have been schemed up by the coach and the play is designed to go specifically to a player.
-RPOs used heavily to provide simple reads for Hurts to compliment his skill-set as a rusher and limitations as a passer with intermediate, and second level reads.
– defenses must account for his ability as a runner, which helps open up the entire offense’s running scheme and creates lanes for RBs.
– overall, a unique skill-set for a QB but with underwhelming arm talent so far.
– Extremely limited offensive potential from an aerial standpoint with inconsistent accuracy at all levels.
– Reluctant to step up and throw the ball downfield vs man coverage. Hesitates too much on throws, not trusting his reads on the deep ball instead of just letting it rip; too many times the ball should have came out a split second sooner but pumps the ball before release, leading to off-timing throws downfield or the DB has already recovered.
– Poor throwing/footwork mechanics, especially on the deep ball i.e. backwards jumping throws, back foot throws, heel clicks. – Tendency to escape the pocket due to the slightest to non-existent pressure and roll out to the right, scrambling for minimal gain.
– struggles to get body into position in order to deliver accurate throws downfield while on the move, despite being a mobile QB. Does not have the ability to make pure arm throws from odd angles and body positioning.
– struggles mightily especially versus cover 1 man with five rushers. Goal for defensive is to erase all running lanes, take away his first read, speed up his mental clock, force him out of the pocket and scramble for minimal gains, completely nullifying any offensive drive potential.
– has laid compete duds in every prime time game this year as the Eagles have been blown out. Could not sustain drives, putting defense out on the field too much and in disadvantageous field positioning.
This is what I’ve scouted of Jalen Hurts while watching every Eagles game in 2021.

I’ve always loved Hurts. he’s my favorite Bama qb ever and I’m glad he’s succeeding in the pros. I think he’s the better QB starting rn from Bama and I hope they continue to support him in Philly
