@Jose Garcia Lions were getting alot of pressure and a lot of untouched pass rushers into the backfield. If this was most other QBs and not Hurts… we’re talking a 5+ sack game. Eagles weren’t prepared for that kind of aggressive pass rush. Credit to Hurts for only getting sacked once and turning negative yards into postive yards.. he definately won them the game with his feet and some good throws.
@RJB Cards I’m giving Hurts full credit but “carrying” is a whole other ball game my friend. Anyone with eyes can see if AJ Brown wasn’t on the field, there’s no pass game for the Eagles. Brown accounted for about 75% of the passing game. Hurts made key plays but the Eagles were up 17 points going into the 4th. You can’t carry a team to a victory while already being up 3 scores going into the 4th. What Mahomes did in his Super Bowl run was REAL carrying. Coming back being down multiple scores to end up winning those games by multiple scores.
@Jose Garcia Anyone with eyes could also see.. Hurts made the right choices and his throws to AJ were good on the money. Coverage was soft.. as the Lions were agressively blitzing Hurts.. and he ended up with only 1 sack and 0 turnovers… He turned a possible 5 sack+ game into positive plays. They were up 3 scores because of him… that still counts as carrying. Mahomes I agree is another level and more… but that doesn’t mean they both can’t carry there teams.
PHI fans you saw some more flashes and improvement from Hurts in this game after a slow start. Be patient with him and you may have a good one for years to come.

Dude showed improvement. It’s week 1 but I like the signs. Defense need to put more pressure on the QB. unacceptable, especially if they wanna beat the Cowboys
Lions offense game planned for eagles D line. That’s why they mostly ran trap plays. And when they passed they were mostly quick passes instead of play action. Any time that tries to hold the ball against this defense would likely pay tho.

@Mike B yea pretty much hes too quick to leave the pocket sometimes but he made some good throws
@Mike B the problem was the noise in the stadium it was crazy and the blitzes were insane they broke the eagles oline quick as hell and nobody ever got open really the lions played really physical and hard.
I will be happy when I see him look at his second option on any given pass play
@Mikey J. Philly your exaggerating he does get to his other reads sometimes, just not often enough. In his defense the oline couldn’t pick up detroits blitz at all so I don’t blame him for not wanting to stand in the pocket. I still see improvement he is getting better

The Lions were blitzing him like a mf all game long. It was nice to see him deal with that combined with a rough start and still end up having a good game when it was all said and done.
His scramble ability is deadly, being able to convert 3rd and long with his legs kept those drives alive
