    The Pats actually made more cap space by signing godchaux and Jake a year early. The Pats would have had to cut key players and probably wouldn’t have been a able to sign a first round rookie to get JC back.

    JC is a TEXTBOOK example of a corner that will get wildly exposed without Belichick. Guy was so overrated, and was a no-name until the 2020 season. Let an all-in team like the Chargers waste all that guaranteed money on him, and then JC knows he can come back here and Belichick will continue to make him look like Deion Sanders. That’s how it works. He wasn’t worth all that guaranteed $$$, come on now.

    Before we had JC, we had Gilmore, then Butler, Browner & Revis, Talib, etc. I can go all the way back to Ty Law and Asante Samuel. Corners and the OL are the last things you need to worry about in NE.
