As much as I love what we did on defense in free agency. We didn’t address anything on the o line or TE position
@Jay btw yeah definitely and we have the ability to go wherever we want which is good
No immediate needs on the o-line. Cam isn’t the absolute best, but he is no scrub. None of our QBs ever got hit hard outside of that one hit on Foles. The O-line is fine
O line is good plus they got a TE for blocking anyway

Lawrence won all but 2 games last season, putting up 4 or more td’s in those games. Even destroying Notre Dame later. Ohio State was a determined and peeved team in that game. TREVOR FOREVER DUDES.

He would gain nothing from saying that. Let’s say he said that he wants Trevor Lawrence. Then before the draft you hear rumors that Trevor has been saying he doesn’t want to play at Jax, or he does something stupid and gets arrested. Then you’d need to draft the #2 QB. He’d have bitter feelings because he knows he was really our 2nd choice.
Teams have stopped claiming who they want in the draft for a while now. There just isn’t anything to gain from it.

Tried many times and failed every time turning a WR to a TE.
@skipg73 look at Darren Waller….drafted as a receiver and is now a top 2 TE behind Kielce kittle is good but was hurt was to much

Trevor Lawrence’s last 5 games… 66% completions, 9 TDs 4 INTs ——- These are not a “Generational” QB’s stats in crunch time. Not even close.
adding onto that he Had Smith Waddle , There is no Doubt in my mind that Mac jones was Carried by his team
Also, keep in mind Trevor has been consistently able to get Clemson in to the playoffs and managed to get a Championship once. It’s hard to know if Mac Jones can show that consistency since he got his chance his senior year. Both are good, tho
@Rahul Anand Also keep in mind that Clemson gets 2nd or 3rd ranked recruiting classes every season, and plays againt a low-talent ACC schedule. Pretty much a free pass to the playoffs.

Gardner Minshew would be a not good, but GREAT QB2. He’s the type of guy to be ready for his second opportunity. And honestly, what do we need to gain in trading him away?
Don’t wanna sound like a super fan but I really feel like the jags are about to make a run in the coming years. I love what Meyer did with free agency, building a roster that can actually compete. Then signing a big name to take the jags over the top.
