Jacoby Jones’ Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 15

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones played one of his best games of the season in Week 15, catching six passes for 80 yards in Baltimore’s massive Monday night win over the Detroit Lions.

Jones’ owners likely weren’t expecting a whole lot heading into Monday Night Football, as the veteran had only caught 29 balls for 353 yards and two touchdowns coming into Week 15.

However, those same owners have to be encouraged about Jones’ potential moving forward in Weeks 16 and 17. He was targeted a season-high nine times against Detroit, accounting for nearly 25 percent of quarterback Joe Flacco’s targets and nearly one-third of the Ravens’ completions in the 18-16 win.

Another look to Jacoby Jones on the quick pass. Last incompletion was intended for him as well. #RavensTalk

Jones, who has blossomed into a special teams stud for the Ravens, returned two kickoffs and one punt in the, but failed to shake loose for a score as he did in Week 14’s unforgettable win over the Minnesota Vikings.

With Baltimore set to host the New England Patriots in Week 16 and visit the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17 to close out the regular season, Jones’ owners should be optimistic but also weighing other options at wide receiver, as both the Patriots and Bengals have done well to keep opposing wideouts under wraps in terms of fantasy production in 2013.
