No they should not have won on Thanksgiving. They stupidly gave the ball back to the Bills with 23 seconds left. You can’t do that when playing Josh Allen. Bills learned that lesson the hard way last year in the playoffs. Just for that, Lions deserved to lose. Now you know, don’t leave that much time for elite QBs.
Don’t leave any time on the clock for elite QBs. Bills lost a playoff game because we left Mahomes 13 seconds to get into field goal range. So again you didn’t deserve to win on Thanksgiving because you left enough time for Josh Allen to set up a game winning field goal. It’s hard lesson hopefully you don’t make the same mistake again

@Erik Heter lol, I know man. You guys really have hooked us up in alotta ways w/ this beautiful new rebirth of our team. Many of the roots of this thing start in LA. I’ll still be rooting for Rams even if Staff doesn’t return, but man I hope he does. You guys deserve another few seasons of him at his best for those two 1st (and the 3rd) rounders you had to give (but it was also to get every cent of Goff’s extension off yet books w/ virtually no existing financial burden, which you needed and got done). I just wish Suh was still playing next to Donald. But… I guess he just didn’t have the juice to be near the level he used to be anymore. Too bad his prime was so short; just the sound of he and Donald together was a terrorizing thought at first (although he really was never quite as good elsewhere as in Detroit. He literally took over entire games in his first 5 yrs. But got outta control alot too. It was a trade off–but totally worth it).
I really dig everything about Rams org that I know of these days. My mom and my sis live in Cali; my next visit, my ex (who lives in Long Beach) and I wanna try to get together and trip out on the experience of a game at SoFi. She got her master’s at USC and went to alotta games then, but the Coliseum is no SoFi lol. I truly love Ford Field, but no question you guys and Vegas have the best stadiums in North American pro sports. You been to SoFi? All I’ve heard is that nothing even comes close to comparing to how unbelievable it is. “The absolute f#¢king PERFECT football venue,” my boy in San Diego told me. You agree w/ that statement too? So just to review: The Lions have just blown out the Jags by four possessions. The offense hung 40 and never punted. The defense held them to 14 and looked professional on most drives. The special teams were quietly superior. The whole team just absolutely dominated from start to finish, and Jacksonville was never in the game after the opening kickoff.
I am very confused right now.

Tate was better after the catch. Amon Ra is better at getting open and better as a rusher. Tate just had exceptional balance and footwork for getting out of tackles immediately after the catch.

OL has been amazing all year. Hank Fraley has done tremendous work with this group. Third-stringers have come in as injury replacements and the OL doesn’t skip a beat. Fraley turned that whole position group into a well-oiled machine.
And this is what’s helping Goff ball out the way he has this year. It also helps that the coaching staff plays to Goff’s strengths and ask for his input on what plays he likes. McVay dictated the playbook and called plays even if they didn’t fit Goff’s strengths. Classic case of a coach prioritizing scheme and therefore trying to fit round pegs into square holes. Goff had some good years in LA but Detroit has been a way more nurturing environment for Goff. The coaching staff and front office love this guy and believe in him. And even though Goff seems like a chill guy, it certainly helps to know when the team and organization has your back.
The only people hating on Goff are Lions fans who think every draft has a Mahomes or Allen or Herbert or Burrow. But building a team is more sustainable than hoping a QB covers all of your flaws. We tried that for 12 years with a stud QB and it didn’t work.

This Lions team showed us their changed system at the first week and until now they’ve developed so many other things in their offense and defense. Most importantly Jared Goff’s ability to complete the passes and move them to the forward. Swift an St. Brown were two other good players of the game. Congrats Detroit for their Lions win.
