@S W get your facts strait. Seattle walked on eggshells for Russ. They wouldn’t even play music during practice he didn’t approve of. They alienated some of the best defensive players to keep Russ and Mark Rogers happy. They got rid of the best scramble reciever they had because Russ couldn’t keep his wife true to him. They traded a first rounder for a nutcase reciever to try and cover up that situation. They did everything to prop Russ up, and now you’ve seen what happens when all that is gone. I guarantee if the Broncos did not trade away picks for Russ they could have signed Geno Smith, drafted another running back, and left tackle and possibly right tackle. The Broncos could have been 5 and 0, or 4 and 1. In addition you would actually see the offense that Hackett has drawn up vs the off script Russell wilson version.

This loss is on Wilson as it is on Hackett.
Once again, the defense played great only to being let down by, not even god knows how or why, an even worse offense than last year. Hackett’s hiring is so questionable right now.
From early this year, I said we should wait until Kevin O’Connell finishes the season with the Rams before we make any hires. The Broncos jumped the gun and hired the OC that couldn’t beat the niners. Even if it wasn’t his play calling, winning the super bowl with Stafford under center sure gave Kevin more experience and talks better about him than losing in the divisional round to the niners. Look at our DC, he came from the Rams and he got the defense fired up.
And the Vikings are 3-1 by the way with Kirk Cousins.

If I were George Paton, I’d feel my seat getting a little warmer now. He tied himself to Wilson’s success or failure with the amount of players, picks, and money he gave up.
We have nothing to rebuild with for years if Wilson fails. If nothing improves, then both Paton and Hackett need to be shown the door out.

Next it will be bro it’s only been 8 games bro it’s only been 11 games. I’ve been a broncos fan for 50 years. Stop being obtuse. Face the facts. Broncos are a 8-9, 7-10 team. More injuries ever game. Hackett is a hack. Russ looks horrible and washed up. Todays nfl you can’t rely on defense alone. 15 points a game won’t cut the mustard. 2 games vs chargers. 2 games against chiefs. I more against the raiders.

Honestly, even 8-9 seems generous. If we can’t even beat the Colts and only beat the Texans by a TD, even teams like the Jets are going to be tough games.
Personally, I don’t see more than 5 wins, especially with the mounting injuries on defense.

I think Juedy plays timid, Hamler gets a catch a week at best – they have no short passing other than a check down here and there – it’s all bad – play design, blocking, drops – we never trick anybody , they are never off balance

Honestly I think Russ needs to be benched to see if the offense responds positively with another QB at the helm. Plus maybe it will light a fire under Russ to play better.

Lets get real that defense allowed Matt, I can’t even step through to throw, Ryan score points. Watching that poor old man play, there should have been zeros under the Colts. That being said it was sad to see just how much Russ has declined as well. I frankly think his shoulder was bothering him, but those who watch film on Russ know, he tried to throw with a mallet finger before leaving the field. He walked back unto the field while the play was going into the backup QB in the huddle when he tore his MCL. He stood up and kept playing, throwing interception after interception, when he “didn’t ” get a concussion in the 2014 NFC championship game. Russ is his own worst enemy.

NFL games are usually decided by 3 points. A blowout is winning by 10 points. The percentage to get in field goal range is higher than scoring a TD. Always get the points.
