Mike33 I can relate. I became a diehard around Barry Sanders rookie and his 2nd year. This year I’m feeling an awesome vibe everywhere for this team. Either people are giving them props or the opposite. No national games. Coach is like number 30th ranked? These “no respect” issues can put a cinder block on there shoulder. On paper they look great. They need to go through their “hard knocks” season this year BUT by the time this year is over they will be solid. 10 wins is possible. Wild card is possible. I’m happy if they just never give up in a game.
Yessir, something about this year feels different. They’re going to make a huge leap and make the playoffs.

This team has a lot more heart than any other NFL team. Once we keep adding talent to our roster, and that talent develops, we got a solid chance to be contenders for a while. Love to see how they’re using last season as motivation for the future. Our entire franchise thus far is motivation for this team. Go Lions.

I’m a Browns fan but god damn I WOULD RUN THROUGH A BRICK WALL FOR THIS TEAM. Lions are my 2nd all time now. So much heart, so many good players.

Jamaal Williams may have almost had me shedding a football tear!
As a lifelong Lions fan of over 40 years, I have NEVER had this much hope for the team. I realize that this probably isn’t quite our year yet but for the first time that I can remember I’m confident that the team is heading in the right direction and good things are coming. The culture change is real… the team has bought in and the GM knowns how to fill roster holes so we will get there.

@Aiden Lippert no, Todd Gurley led the #1 offense in 2017. He was Offensive Player of the Year, 2nd in MVP voting and 1st team All-Pro.
It’s not a coincidence that in Goff’s only 2 good seasons he had the best running back in the nfl. Gurley scored 40 tds and had 3,924 total yards in 2017 and 2018 lol.
– Goff is 1-2 in the playoffs without Gurley.
– Goff is 3-17-1 without McVay.

I’m a Panthers fan but can’t wait to see what the Lions do this year. They fought hard all last year and competed every game. It was inspiring to watch. Coach Campbell has changed the culture and it’ll be really fun to see what happens this season.
Jamaal nailed it. This is the first time I can honestly say in all the years I have been a fan that this team has a different feeling. I screamed at the TV when they were 0-16 and this is different than this team has felt in a long long time. Its time to eat. Lets go Lions!!! One Pride Baby!!!

Jamaal made me tear up, that was so motivating and that’s exactly what this team needs, it’s the Lions year. This season is going to be polar opposite of last season.
Not a Lions fan as I have been a member of The Raider Nation since I was around 8 years old. Thats a long time ago now. However, I have a bit of a soft spot for this team after having the pleasure of watching and appreciating Barry Sanders from a far. That man was special. I would love to see this team have some long overdue success. Those loyal fans deserve nothing less. Think you will surprise a lot of people this year if they underestimate the talent on this team. Impressive recent drafts along with an improving team and coaching staff. I believe the future looks very promising indeed.
Looking forward to hard knocks as Coach Campbell seems like a somewhat intense but fun guy. Wish you all the best for the coming season.

literally listened to J-Wil’s speech like 50 times on loop this morning and the goosebumps are through the roof. one of the best speeches i’ve ever heard in sports, period.
I don’t care how much money it takes, what the record is, how he plays, what anything is… Never get rid of Jamaal. That man is the true heartbeat of the team. Other teams wish they could have a man with just a fraction of his work ethic, charisma, and morale boosting ability. He’s now my favorite NFL player hands down. These are the lions we’ve been begging for!
