Inside Carl Lawson’s Jets Debut | Next Gen Stats | The New York Jets | NFL – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

He’s a beast but he needs to add some moves, some speed moves would make him unstoppable. Watching von Miller the other night, man keeps switching it up which makes him so hard to block.

he pressures but rarely gets sacks. He’s gotta figure out how to get home and start forcing some strip sacks

Lawson has always been good with pressures. But what’s been plaguing him though, is not being able to *finish* on said pressures. I feel it’s the reason why the Bengals chose Trey Hendrickson over him. But I think it’ll come eventually. And when it does, it’ll be in bunches. It’s just a matter of time.

He’s strong but no bend!

Oddly enough Lawson has the same body type and physicals as Joe Klecko. Both bench 500, both are 6’2-6’3, and run the 40yd at 4.6-4.7. Joe was doing that however back when OT’s were 275 ( when he was A DE and got 21 sacks a year). Now of course OT’s are bigger -stronger – faster than in the 80’s so Lawson’s constant pressure is very impressive despite his small size. As far as sacks , he was getting doubled a bit this past Sunday.

that is very intelligent insight. I guess it would be the same with Babe Ruth hitting home runs against guys who never threw more than 85 mph and only one skin tone.

Stand ’em up & knock ’em down!

Mike Saunders

Lawson has a very high motor, strength and speed but no variation in his rush moves and no bend

Marist Old Boys

Dude needs to learn the spin move the ex-Colts All Pro DE perfected.

Can’t wait!!!

Jets fan since 1964 but this is little more than PR nonsense. Next you will be reporting how fast Wilson can print his autograph.
