@KN Byam Because no one had faith in him and have been clowning on him all week. Don’t get me wrong, Irsay and the Colts front office deserve all the crap they’ve been getting. However it’s not Saturday’s fault for taking a job like that when it’s offered.

If I’m sitting at home and get a call out of the blue from a NFL owner wanting to give me 1 Million fazools (although the actual salary is unknown) to “act like” a head coach for six or seven months. I’d do it. Anyone who would turn it down is a complete moron. What do people expect him to say to the offer, I don’t deserve it, give the money to someone else, duh? Because we all know, it’s all about the MONEY!

Incredibly happy for Jeff Saturday. Wasn’t really sold on his hiring but the Colts played with the will to win and that’s what they’ve been missing. Hope it continues.

@ricardo rivera LOL I agree that the gap is a lot larger than people realize – but that being said, if college football has taught us anything, it’s that *no matter how large* the gap in talent, it’s always possible for the better team to find a way to lose (that’s generally what happens in upsets – even when the less-talented team plays perfectly, the more talented team still has to make some uncharacteristic mistakes for an upset to happen).
The point being- whether the commenter is joking or not- Josh McDaniels is mis-managing the team at such a colossal level that, if they played a college team, *no one* would be surprised if they lost *despite* the massive gap in talent between professional and college rosters. *That* is how badly McDaniels is failing!
In other words, the comment was *never* about the talent levels of both teams. It was about how badly the pro team is being coached that an *amateur* team, where the players hope to *one day* go pro (and the best ones hope to *one day* experience the growing pains that most pro rookies experience) could actually end up winning *despite* the talent difference and *no one* would find it surprising that the pro team so massively underperformed!
@Mazdak Mina you are right. Mcdaniels has lost the locker room and its not like the raiders are the texans who have barely any big time player. The raiders, player by player, have one of the most talented rosters. The management is absolutely fkn dreadful.
He’s a leader of men . Jeff Saturday led olives on Super Bowl winning teams. He knows how to lead.

@Gabe that’s what’s supposed to happen. Good blocking is supposed to let a QB play well. It’s why you want your line to block well, imagine QBs with poor blocking, they won’t be able to get comfortable. TB played awfully against the Panthers because they were in his face all day. Good blocking = good QB play, wooow who’d have thunk it

Leads the league in fumbles lost even after missing two weeks and is 2nd in INTs. I’ll take the win obviously, but let’s not pretend that Ryan is the answer for the Colts at QB. The Raiders are just that bad

All it takes is a couple weeks of Ryan off the field for people to forget that he lead the league in both fumbles and INTs by a large margin. So large in fact that even not playing for 2 weeks, Ryan is still #2 in both categories only down by 1 from 1st place. Dude is garbage. People have very short attention spans, how soon they forget.

Looks like he tried to pick it up and stand up so he could run with it. That gave time for Mo Alie-Cox, the Colts TE to come in and poke it free, and Pittman jumped on it. Dumb mistake, you ALWAYS fall on fumbles, don’t try to pick them up. Cost Raiders the game
He couldn’t have had a better opportunity than that and he still didn’t get the ball.

As a raiders fan. When Butler (58) didnt just land on the ball i was like…. HOW… then Monreau droppin the TD pass… i swear man. I feel like they’re cursed. Insane.
Try being a colts fan we have turned the ball over 300 times this season in the opponents red zone and most of them are fumbles I don’t get it

As a Falcon fan, it is good to see Matt showing that he still got it (but if the Colts could utilize a mobile quarterback in the red zone then they will score more points)
As a Raider fan I’m glad I went to the gym and then played my favorite video game rather than spend 3 hours watching another loss. Congrats to the Colts for finding a way to win despite the turmoil surrounding the team.
