Imagine Writing Geno Smith Off! – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

He is a very awesome quarterback!!

Alonzo Robinson

Happy to see him flourish, keep it up Geno.

j0epark1

Imagine signing Kyler Murray to a $200 million contract to collect L’s. I would’ve done that for half that.

    Scruff D0g

All the QBs who got big deals this past year are game under 500 (not including Stafford because he just won a super bowl – Rodgers, Russ, Kyler and Carr are 11-25)

    Distorted Alpaca

Ehem *cough* that one Ex-Seahawks QB who is a diva now *cough*

    Jason Dousett

    @Scruff D0g Shocking.

bruce lau

Man I’m happy to see him flourish , Geno keep it up buddy

Chef Russ Too Clutch

seahawks slayed this trade. they have high 1st rounder, probably top 8. a ton of salary cap, and a winning culture with dynasty vibes.

    Richard E

On top of that, Noah fant and Shelby Harris have been good additions along with Geno replacing Russell. it’s been sweet

    WKFootballShorts

@Richard E What they got for russ :
    – Charles Cross (Possible Franchise LT)
    – Ken Walker (Great RB)
    – 2023 First and Second Round Picks
    – Noah Fant
    – Shelby Harris
    – Drew Lock (Could be good at some point)

Chris

Geno Smith needs to make Pro Bowl and be Comeback Player of the Year for sure

    Christian Maas

@Peen Head ad hominem, the sign of a great argument

You were saying no one gets CBPOY if they sucked before which is clearly wrong, Doug Flutie did in virtually the exact situation as Geno Smith, it’s not my fault you don’t know football

    Peen Head

@Christian Maas yeah if you could read you would understand that I said it doesnt make sense… not that it has never happened. Flutie shouldnt have won either… You are clearly stupid because Ive said the same thing 100x and it still has gone through one ear and out the other. I wasnt going to go there but you hopefully that wakes you up. smh

    Christian Maas

@Peen Head you know your comments would stop getting deleted if you weren’t so aggro. Very rigid thinking on display here. Seems like you’re the kind to root against the underdog, ask the teacher for more homework and put pineapples on your pizza. Relax man 🤣

    Peen Head

@Christian Maas nothing got deleted… Get some help.

    Christian Maas

@Peen Head none of your ill informed comments are showing, but thats probably for the best, considering you have cold takes

Legendary bars. As a jets fan, I’m happy to see Geno become a good player 👏🏽🙌🏽

    12ManFan

Seahawks Jets is gonna be a fun game this year. Happy to see DJ Reed ballin for you guys

    Michael Roberts

@heymoona dude are you a hater

    Nclght

    @Michael Roberts or ignorant

    heymoona

@Michael Roberts of rodgers yeah. geno hasnt done anything for me to hate him

    nordy259

Your team is doing pretty good this year also. I’m not a Jets fan but I’ll root for anyone in your division to beat the Pats

Ooops

We all wrote him off, including me. I’m still surprised at his performance of this year.

    Defender Of Logic

    Respect the honesty there.

    Cincinnati Red

Y’all was roasting him when got punched by his teammate too.

    Szn

Same. I feel like an idiot. I though Pete was tanking starting Geno after preseason and now they’re leading the nfc west.

    Damon Hardin

I thought he got his jaw broke by his own teammate and fell out of the league the season after. Hell, I found out last week that Mercedes Lewis is still in GB. I thought he retired the year McNab did. 😂

    NewAgain

Nah. Speak for yourself. I put down sea going 10-7 and making playoffs.

The Gamer 91

Geno Smith being elite with Seattle proves Russell Wilson was a system QB.

    mrALO

@The Gamer 91 exactly. And they wanted Schneider gone too 😒 GREAT Front Offices don’t grow on trees. They are why Seattle has been relevant as a top organization for over a decade now.

    Jason Dousett

@ssjgoat27 Yep me too. I never wanted Pete or John gone. Frustrated with some of their draft picks over the years but they don’t all pan out. They knew when to trade Wilson, got the draft picks they needed, and nailed this one. Pete played to his strengths and weaknesses his entire career, hence the reason he looks lost out there with Denver. And all of us 12’s saw his decline the previous 3 seasons.

    ssjgoat27

@Jason Dousett yea but we did get some core players over the years , penny is great just has bad luck with injuries , dk was a steal , will disley and parkinson have been contributing good , brooks is starting to really catch fire . one pick i hate tho is dee eskridge dude been a bust so far . yea wilson wasnt as good as i though , he was mr 3 and out , and most of his good plays were bombs or broken plays , hes not as nimble as he used to be so the broken plays dont happen anymore and and in denver he doesnt have the weapons for deep passes where a jeudy can jump up for it like a metcalf , hence the reason the broncos are struggling .mand there fans are oblivious and only watched wilson highlights from seahawks days lol

    Jason Dousett

@ssjgoat27 Spot on! Yep so true. Go Hawks!!

GoPro Peter C Hockey

Geno Smith shrugged off that pick 6 today and led the Seahawks back to victory like a pro that he has always been but everyone is now seeing. Go Geno!

    Nick Nelson

@Hustlin Justin me too.. i was asking myself if ive seen this video already?

    a a

That’s what makes guys like Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers (although Brady and Rodgers this year oof) great… the ability to shrug off a rough start or something like a pick 6 and go back and make up for it and ball out. This was a huge step forward with Geno and I do have to credit Carroll as well. Couple weeks ago Geno was really pissed off at a ref and Pete visibly yelled to him: “GENO! HEY GENO” and when Geno turned Pete just kind of took his hands and motioned ‘calm down dude… you’re fine, just cool off.’ and then Geno of course converted a long 3rd down the very next play.

Seattle is building something special. If Geno is the starting QB next year, Seattle with all the Broncos picks, already great rookie performances, and all the cap room they’re going to have (even resigning Geno he’s not going to get some $50M per year with just one good season that is still only halfway over)…. and then Arizona being a dumpster fire, and then San Fran/LA with barely any cap room or draft capital…. Seattle will probably re-claim the NFC West for another decade.

    ApacheOperator

Let’s not pretend he’s always been good lol

    Hustlin Justin

@Nick Nelson Right. I had to go back to the other video to make sure I wasn’t trippin.

    Zak Revert

exactly what i was thinking shrug it off onto the next play great leadership from geno

Roberto Marx

I used to watch him when he in college. Knew he had some crazy skills

TyD1991

Coach Carroll deserves a ton of credit.

    Bao the God of Dumplings

And we thought he was the issue in Seattle. Guess we were wrong.

Quickestturtlez

His passes are just a thing of beauty.

    Gray Grimbus

Geno Smith throws the tightest spirals

    Jay Harris

Always did have a tight spiral even his int’s were beautiful

Space Dust

His resurgence makes me wonder what other “written off” players would actually be good if they got the chance for redemption.

    Pratyush B

@CoKo A did Drew Lock light it up in college like Geno did? Did he have a good rookie year like Geno?!? I don’t know btw I’m asking

    Pratyush B

@Sven Markum only if Johnny Manziel wants to get in the right state of mind. I personally thought Johnny was gonna be a star if he ever got his head in the right place… unfortunately that never happend

    Pratyush B

Andy Dalton was an interesting player, he had a good start to his career and then kind of tailed off.

    CoKo A

@Pratyush B I’m just saying what would happen if he was given another shot somewhere down the road? He was decent enough in college to be drafted into the league. He showed flashes of being good in his first couple of years

    NewAgain

@Pratyush B Dalton had stacked teams. Not everyone is gonna go to a SB. Even with a stacked team.

David M

As a relatively new follower of the NFL, and not particularly attached to any team, comeback stories like this is what what makes the NFL great to watch and follow

    nordy259

Probably the 2nd best comeback story in NFL history right behind some arena football guy that won the Super Bowl. Even if the Hawks win it all this year Warners story is still tops. So good they made it a movie.

0:39 Geno and DK is on another level, DK is still on the move but Geno already starting to throw the ball while DK is running against his back and didn’t see the ball is coming, DK brake and by the time he turn around, the ball is coming exactly on his lap while Geno has to navigate 2 hands rising in front of him and pressure coming from right side !!! OUTSTANDING job by both of them.

bobby lite

the thing about Geno is everyone expected him to be a magic fix when he was drafted, Not everyone is magically good soon as they get drafted geno had to learn he took the time to watch, he absorbed the knowledge, and now we get the see the results, and these results look damn good i hope he keep getting better and better .

Giraffe

I never expected this from Geno going into the season. I thought we were gonna be trash this season. For the past four games we (the Seahawks) have been firing on all cylinders. If we keep all our big pieces, the Seahawks are going to be Super Bowl contenders in the next year or 2
