@Noah Borlace Yeah, I know he’s injured but he’s a game breaker, and one of the only quality WR1/2s out there, and we only need him as a bridge.
I thought you would be as worried about Thielen as I am. Talk about injury prone, and old, he’s missed more games than Cook in the last 3 seasons, and is the second oldest WR in the league, and he’s almost certainly going to be a cap cut next year.
We didn’t look competitive when Thielen went down last season, and unless Nailor becomes our WR2, I think our WR group looks pretty weak outside JJ.
@Rob E and picking up odell who won’t even be able to start the season, and could very easily get injured right as he comes back?
@Noah Borlace Sure, but we don’t need him at the start of the season so that’s not so important. That’s a bit of a stretch to suggest he’ll get injured when he comes back – anyone could. Should we cancel Hunter’s, Zadarius’ & Irv Smith’s contracts because they might get injured again?
Can you think of any other FAs that we could get that would be good enough to replace Thielen as a WR2?
@Rob E maybe try and have faith in our current WR? They didn’t grab a receiver at 12 because they think ISM can be that guy
@Noah Borlace I’m an optimistic fan, but I think expecting ISM, KJ or Nailor to be equal to, or an upgrade from, Thielen is being a little too hopeful.
As Kwesi said – hope is not a strategy, and you normally don’t find that quality of WR outside the 1st or 2nd round.
Whole new playbook – 11 personnel, no more of the TE2 stuff. I wonder if Zach Davidson can get himself into the receiving conversation this year?

Marsette is a beast!!! Vike’s are gonna get their first ever Superbowl win this season i can feel it!!!! Man its been a beyond tough year for me.
