I’ve been saying the same thing. I’ve wanted this guy at 4 all along and thought people were crazy for wanting KT at 4, that guys a bum and wouldn’t want him on the jets even if he was good
It’s been some tough years with multiple resets of management, coaches, players, and apparent saviors. The last couple of years have been more promising but there was still doubt for me. Going through the pre-draft process and getting to meet some of the potential players, I honestly wanted the Jets to draft Maine at 4. I know how important Edge is for this D, how much of a tone setter and cornerstone he can be, and got more and more hyped as some evaluators believed he can be the best at the position in this draft. He is everything Douglas and Saleh preach: love for ball, high character culture guy, absolute freak with that killer instinct to win. It’s almost poetic that the Jets were able to select him at 26 rather than my desired choice at 4. It took a long way to get there, with lots of work and patience, but we got our Maine!
