Broncos your guys are my favorite team next year can your go to a Super Bowl and when I get older like 25 can you draft me please this is my dream when I get older and also this is always my second thing please go to a Super Bowl for 2021

Watson would cost too much. Pipe dream.. Stafford… would be affordable and as mentioned will be a clear upgrade. I am of the belief that stafford is criminally underrated. It was just 2019 where he was putting together a stellar year before he got hurt. I think he would make alot of noise with the broncos … now with that said let’s talk about Benjamin Albright point … is he a guy we beleive can take us to and win the superbowl? That’s the question. To justify the move and the price point. I dont know that he is. I truly believe lock is on his way to being stafford already and will make the much needed leap this year and by 2022 will prob be comparable. I mean stafford started his career with 13tds and 20ints. Im not willing to risk other pieces to get the kinda bump in production stafford would bring. And I’m a stafford fan. Just inst worth it. And drafting a qb will start thst developmental clock all over. Herbert’s don’t come along often.

@Mark Smith I like the GM well enough. The superbowl comment was about stafford. I like him but the cost of a trade and contract is only a justifiable move if the guy can take u to the superbowl. Watson I beleive can (too expensive). Stafford is more affordable but I dont know for sure he can. Hope he ends up in a better situation though.
would he? How many guys from the last few drafts are we giving 2nd contracts to? Chubb, Sutton, Jewell, Fant, Risner, DreMont Jones, Jeudy, Hamler, Ojemudia, Cush? Would it be bad if we traded 1sts and 2nd in 21 and 22 to give us some relief after paying those other 10 guys?
@Andy I’m of the belief it would cost more than that. If im the texans im not trading for anything less than 3 first round picks for the pass leader thats just 25 and has been consistent since his rookie season. A safety (adams) and a LB (mack) went for 2 1sts. But let’s play the game and say If its 2 1st and 2 2nds maybe … we have enough guys on rookie contracts to pull it off … means likely saying good bye to Miller, Jurrell Casey and bouye (malik Reed and dre’mont did well but cb will be problematic ). We might still be able to make Simmons work. But we won’t be having any top picks to replace the talent we purge till 2023 … at which time a couple guys will be coming up for renewal. Who we likely cannot afford and when we lose that talent we will be replacing them with rookies because the last 2 yrs we only had 3rd round picks and less who likely are just contributors. I mean it might be worth it but trading the farm for 1 guy rarely pans out. I do not beleive any gm is gonna come in wager his career on 1 trade before the career starts. Better to start crafting your own roster with your own picks.
