Baker has played some of his best games against the Ravens. That said, I expect the Browns to get thoroughly DEMOLISHED by the Ravens week one. Not because the Browns will be terrible this year (they won’t) or because the Ravens will have another 14-2 season (they won’t), but because there is just no way that the Browns are going to be sharp as a team right out of the gate thanks to the COVID shutdown and delays. The Browns have a new head coach, new offensive coordinator and a new defensive coordinator. They are installing a totally new offense AND a totally new defense. They’ve had just one month to do all of that. I truly believe that it will take them at least 4-5 weeks to really find their identity and get rolling.

The Ravens, on the other hand, are just continuing to perfect and add new wrinkles to the same offense they’ve been running for the last two years. They are exactly the kind of team who is actually going to BENEFIT from all of the COVID delays because they aren’t doing anything dramatically new. They will have a big advantage over teams like the Browns, especially early in the season. Forcing the Browns to play the Ravens week one was just the schedulers being a-holes. I think everybody (except trashy Ravens fans of course) would rather have seen the Browns scheduled to play the Ravens later in the season (BOTH games) so the games could’ve been more competitive. Even week three or four would’ve been better…week one is just ridiculous.

Unfortunately, I also think Jedrick Wills is going to get absolutely steamrolled for at least the first half of this season. He’s looked borderline TERRIBLE in this training camp and that has been going against Olivier Vernon and a freaking UN-DRAFTED FREE AGENT named Porter Gustin…they haven’t even really been putting Myles over him. Bill Callahan said that was specifically because the defense was just practicing having Myles on the opposite side from where he normally plays, but I don’t believe that one bit. I absolutely believe that they are trying not to destroy Wills’ confidence completely because even his body language has been bad every time we’ve seen live practice footage…he’s LITERALLY been “hanging his head” because he’s struggled so much. I legitimately believe that Wills is the best Tackle from his draft class, and I also believe that Callahan can, and WILL, succeed in making him a FRANCHISE Left Tackle at the very least. That said, he is NOT going look like Joe Thomas week one…I’m not sure he’s even going to be as good as freaking Greg Robinson was, which is BAD news for this team.

Teams with new coaches are at such a disadvantage week 1 this season. I don’t expect a win, but I expect a good amount of wins in the first 8 weeks.

Browns if u see this i am a big fan. I now u guys can get + 500 the season. U make a mistake don’t worry its one play u have more coming.

I don’t think it’d be much of a big deal tbh. Ravens and Browns play each other real close every year and usually split no matter how good the two teams are. Lol

Ravens went 14-2 last season and still lost to Cleveland. Lol

    MegĂĄlopros

real close every year?, usually split?…historically the browns have the worst record against the ravens…even if you consider every head-to-head record (with a minimum of 32 games) among all nfl teams, the browns record against the ravens is the worst in history (.262), although their recent teams do perform better in that match-up

    Clint Walker

You are right, it’s usually a very close every game. They split last year, the Ravens lost in Baltimore but won in Cleveland in a game that was closer than the final score. I seem to remember one game Cleveland kicked a field goal at the end, it went over the crossbar, but came down on the curved part of the stanchion, and bounced back through the uprights. It took like 5 minutes for the officials to figure out Cleve won the game. This game will be a fistfight as almost all AFC north match ups are. (sometimes literally).

Very noticeable differences between last season and this season. 1 the secondary, The Ravens have arguably one of the best secondary groups in the league vs last season all they had was marlon, 2. The D line last season we had huge gaps in our dline Brandon Williams being the only notable player for that game is the reason the browns gashed the Ravens in the run game let’s look at that d line this season. Brandon William’s, Calais Campbell, derek Wolfe, alone is a huge improvement! 3 our LB corps is considerably upgraded patrick Queen is going to be a premier LB paired with LJ fort and Malik Harrison it’s going to be stout. Passrush will be improved as well due to those names mentioned earlier paired with Judon. Real question mark on the Defense is FS. This is where the browns could have success.

As a Ravens fan I have respect for the browns they bring us a tough game every time. It will be a huge start to the seaso. and I would say it’s a VERY important game to both squads. Well see you guys at the bank! Now with all due respect let’s stop talking let’s see it happen!!

I hope we don’t get spanked in the season opener like last year .

E NONEK

These teams play each other 2x’s a yr. W/o a preseason teams will stumble, some will recover, others will not. It takes 16 wks to make a season, not just 1.

Gage Jones

Uh everything when was the last time we won a week 1 game? Let alone an important rivalry game. Not just that I think we can actually beat the ravens. We play them very good. And now we’re going to use more ground and pound? We might run 250 yards

Gage Jones

Also a lot of our losses last year were due to awful coaching and scheme along with bad Line play which then Baker was awful in return. We should and could have beaten the patriots we ran amuck on them and had two freak plays in a row of fumbles. The broncos game was solely on the coaching staff that game everyone came in lackluster and no heart

Matt Waldman

A rookie head coach, 2 rookies starting on the O line and 2 possibly 3 starters on defense injured along with the little of seen of Mayfeild I don’t see how they pull this off

    Dom1118

Right. It’s gonna be a tough one.

J M

It would mean we win which is good …

Dom1118

I’m not very confident in the Browns winning this one. But I do think they will bounce back well.

Larry Frye

Browns beat the Ravens last season!

    Aidan C

Yea once. Y’all are trash and went 6-10

    XTMachine1

well actually, Ravens also beat the browns in their own house and almost by the same score margin, so It’s 1/1.
But I hope Ravens to kick their browns butt now.

SuperLand7

Go Browns!

liberty bell

For the Ravens it’s going to be can you stop Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, because that’s what their gonna get all day long to keep the ball out of Jackson’s hands.

mike dixon

Brown’s 27 them birds 21 let’s go browns.
