Jalen Hurts was able to get out of a lot of pressure filled situations in that game. Lions sent a ton of rush packages that probably would’ve sacked everyone other than maybe 4 or 5 QBs in the league. Too bad Jalen was one of those.
@wildcard650 did you even watch the video lol? The eagles o-line wasn’t ready.. there were a lot of untouched pass rushers. Most QB’s would of gotten sacked 5+ times.
@AltCtrlSpud Most “real” NFL QBs are easy to defend. They have higher completion percentage, throw for a lot of yards, but still have to punt multiple times a game because ultimately they’re one dimensional and easy to predict. Jalen Hurts on the other hand is an absolute headache to defend because of his versatility, toughness, and leadership qualities. But that doesn’t matter. You want to see lots of passes. Great football mind.
Him and Lamar are the only 2 that can get out of that regularly

The Lions LBs are garbage. Shut the hell up on “Rodrigo”. And their DBs? AO & Harris showed they’re liabilities in coverage.

Using the excuse, it’s the Lions Defense and he’s only good against bad defenses is a weak argument. The lions have improved tremendously and had constant pressure against a top 3 line in the nfl. You can tell Aiden Hutchinson is the real deal too. There are very few QBs that would have found success under that much pressure..

@Knowledge🌒 Droppa my expectations remains that Hutchinson will still win defensive rookie of the year. He had a slow start but it’s only 1 game 16 more to go. But the media it seemed like hutch has no flaws and he just going to dominate from the very start. Pump your brakes he’s good but he has to start living up to the hype soon enough.
@mark fennell idk who expected that I heard some of the hype & I didn’t buy it. I was expecting him to be a bust to be honest but he looked pretty good in the last game against one of the better Olines he’s far from perfect but I’m not too concerned about the 1 tackle he answered my biggest concern
Imo this was a great game for the lions even though it was a loss , they scored 35 points , the most in a while lol , just the minor things beat them

Against most other QBs who can’t scramble as well they win this game and it wouldn’t be close

@Romeo Rodriguez the thing is when one guy comes free and you side step the pressure he literally then has an eternity to climb the pocket and throw but he doesn’t. In every instance he drops his eyes and takes off running. The great “dual” threats step up and teeter the line of scrimmage with their eyes down field looking to throw running as last resort. That isn’t what we are seeing. It’s literally protection breakdown, makes guy miss ,head down and run.

U guys do realize aj brown has basically been a top 5 wr he’s was 2nd in yards per route which is yards per playing time he’s 2nd in that in host first two seasons and aj brown has never had more then 400 pass snaps and btw most starters get between 570 to 600 pass snaps if aj brown had that every year he would have 1400+ yards every year
love seeing all the late hits from the lions again in slow motion. In case u weren’t aware of the rules, cuz it seemed like the lions and the officials didn’t even know them. If a qb gives himself up to slide the second he starts to go to the ground he is down and u are NOT SUPPOSED TO TOUCH HIM!!!! it is not the act of hitting the ground that makes the qb down when he slides it is the very intention to slide. too many times he was already going down, and lions players just fell on him unnecessarily.
It was actually pissing me off to watch nonstop. Makes me lowkey wanna take back my flowers from the lions for it being a good game bc it looked like they were instructed to tackle like that. Nasty

Hurts deserves his flowers. Made nice throws all day and bailed the OL and the offense out when protections broke down with his feet. His scramble ability is elite. Put some respect on this man’s name. QB1 🦅

That play at 2 mins perfect, with the Eagles run attack gashing Lions, the offensive line for the Eagles, excellent pass protection the lions kept two linebackers to spy on Jalen thinking he is going to run, then boom huge outside one on one deep right corner post throw to the outside in perfect spot for AJ Brown to use his body n size n strength to catch on the 54-yard Deep pass.
