How does Denver’s game vs. the Chiefs influence the outlook for the rest of the season? – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Malhon Dize

please stop, i know your a fan and its ok. you say the broncos beat themselves but chiefs fans can say the same thing . how many drops did the recievers have. chiefs made mistakes too. broncos were never really close since 0-0

Bernard Evans

I firmly believe that the broncos get in

    RodgertheNegotiator

I really hope so. If we beat Detroit I will be more of a beliver. Go Broncos.

    Stephen H. Smith

we gotta beat lions and bengals otherwise we theu

D TRC

DENVER NEEDS TO CLEAN HOUSE & IT STARTS WITH VIC & SHURMER!!! THESE .500 AT BEST SEASONS ARE GETTING OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bigjoeflashy

Keep the FANG!!!!! His defense is the best scheme we’ve had since Kubiak Get a Shannahan disciple for OC and giddy up!!

    StreetClassENT

Defense has nothing to do with Vic stop trying to save him we always had talent on defense

    Species 8472

@The Mack fangio was blown out at home by the worst team in the league (eagles). And he was shredded by a back up washed up qb we cut (case keenum)

    The Mack

@ Species 8472 🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 WTF are u even talking about?!?! I clearly asked u where’d u get 18th ranked defense from but now I realize u just made it up 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Species 8472

@The Mack I don’t know where your live but I live in Denver. This whole city wants fangios head. He is a horrible coach. Denver hasn’t had an elite defense since wade left. Not even close. Fangio has miller and Chubb on same line and all he does is use them in pass coverage. Idiot. He blitzes 5% of the time. Drops every one back in coverage, gives qbs all day to throw, and gets shredded. Hasn’t been able to stop Kelce in 3 years with a flooded back field. His whole scheme is a joke

    The Mack

    @Species 8472 so that’s how u calculated 18th ranked defense? 🤣🤣🤣😂

Blueblade13

It further enforces we don’t have a Quarterback. There’s no sugarcoating now that Bridgewater is the weak link of the offense. He even had the run game going and he still couldn’t get the job done.

    lionel howell

You are correct about sugar-coat, YOUR DAMN OFFENSIVE LINE!!!

    StreetClassENT

I honestly think TB is injured and still playing he constantly limping even when he scrambles he just seems slower. Still a injured TB is better than a healthy DL

    Adilson Rodrigues

    Wasnt teddy’s fault

Jason Schiffer

House needs to get cleaned, new HC! Fangio can maybe stay only if he downgrades to DC or LB coach. BRONCOS NEED TO TRADE FOR RUSSEL WILSON!

Eric Blackman

I believe that the Patriots will be representing the AFC this year not the Chiefs

Yyz1001

Quinn meinerz was nominated on good morning football angry runs for his block on mike Boone’s run. Amazing. I think they won..

    JLAvenger23

They won it, actually. Both, Boone and Meinerz. Pair of studs. Awesome recognition.

Kevin Bolanos

That browns lost is going to comeback to haunt us!!

gary scherer

Run the ball.

Thomas H

WE NEED TO FIRE THIS COACH ASAP!!!! We also needs a new QB I’m tired of losing

freddy marquez

They should just tank & fire the coaches now

Brad D

I do not like the Chefs. That said I didn’t think this was a must win game. The Broncs have to get a minimum 3 W’S in the remaining games for a shot at the post season -which would be good for a young team – but they aren’t going anywhere. Look at the qb’s in the AFC West, there’s the fundamental problem. Love Teddy, class guy, but I’d rather see him backing up a stud qb. (Like the kid at Pitt.)-go get him in the draft….Teddy may stay to play too, especially when he realizes his worth as a free agent.

Thomas Johnson

Shumar has to go!!!

    Les Schoenberger

    Shurmur

Rob Huntley

How does it look moving forward…it sucks! We’re in last place, we are getting beat week in and out by quarterback play! Aaron Rogers 2022

Lock has been on the field for 9 drives this season, only 1 of which resulted in pts. On that 1 drive, Lock completed 1 pass for 7 yards and had a fumble (recovered by TP). Of the other 8 drives, 3 were 3 and outs and 2 ended in interceptions. 4 of the 9 drives were against the 27th ranked scoring defense in the league. And yet Allbright and others still want Lock.

    Collection Connection

@YourMachines Again you are comparing a 6 year veteran to a first year starter, I would want the 6 year guy to be more than slightly better. What are those average air yards sideways? I watch the games and maybe when he throws it away it is 8 yards, but downfield trying to hit a receiver it is from behind the line of scrimmage to 5 yards. When he throws further it is off target or picked, except maybe 10 passes all year. Peyton manning had 49 int’s his first two season and Elway 29. Maybe we should have benched those hacks!? And Please answer why we have to go for it on 4th down 3 times in one drive and come away with zero points? Most teams go for it on 4th 3 times in 5 games or more. We have to be heading to some type of NFL 4th down attempt record!

    YourMachines

The numbers are what the numbers are. Always eye opening to look thru. They work in tandem with the film just as the film works in tandem with the numbers. The fact is the Broncos are scoring more points and Lock isn’t showing any signs of deserving more chances. I see you’d pick Rypien over Bridgewater, so I don’t think any further explanation is needed.

    Collection Connection

@YourMachines What are the numbers without the highest rate of 4th attempts in NFL history? That would be eye opening I am sure!

    YourMachines

    LMGTFY

The Broncos don’t even have the highest number of 4th down attempts in the league this season, much less league history, nor are they 2nd or 3rd in attempts this season. In fact, the Broncos have the exact same number of 4th down attempts and conversions as the Chargers and Titans. Are both of those offenses terrible as well? The Broncos also have the 6th highest conversion rate in the league (last year they were dead last). And if one would consider a failed conversion equivalent to a turnover, which seems appropriate, the Broncos would be on pace to match 2020’s number of failed conversions (despite attempting many more). Additionally, this season only 12 teams have failed fewer 4th down attempts than the Broncos. So while they are attempting more, they are converting FAR more, without giving the ball up anymore than before (and, of course, scoring at higher rate).
Also, notable, Deshaun Watson’s Texans were 4th in the league in 4th down attempts in 2018. In 2017, the SB champ Eagles were #2 in attempts.
If one offense attempts 30 and converts 25 4th downs, while scoring 3 pt/drive and another attempts 10 and converts 5, while scoring 1 pt/drive, is the 2nd offense better because they attempted fewer 4th downs?
The only thing that matters is points and turnovers (and failed 4th downs is a good thing to throw in with turnovers).

    Collection Connection

@YourMachines I saw all of that when I went to check myself, then I did not see my post so I did not think I posted or I would have edited. It seemed like a lot because of the three in the 20 play drive, and the one where we fumbled for 6, and the same game when Teddy threw it away on 4th and goal.
I still believe That Lock would have 6 wins by now like Teddy, or more. I think the receivers would be happier, and our running game and play action would all benefit.
The worst team in the league right now, the Lions, does have the most 4th down attempts. I also think there is unusually high 4th down attempts this year, sort of like the record low interception leader Lock last year! 🙂

Caleb Uhler

Way too many armchair coaches with a total lack of football intelligence in the comments. Our fan base needs to study up a bit.

Bill Bell Ell

RUNNING game and DEFENSE extremely impressive, pass offense and ST not so much. Lose the three big mistakes and Denver wins at home week 18.

    dancing koala

Kendall Hinton is a better option at QB at this point

Jason Rutt

You two are are totally not being realistic or honest with yourselves, this team is not making the playoffs, the coach, OC QB AND ST ARE inept AND SO INCONSISTENT, RB (over 100) defence (played great) and they were undone by 4 people. I figure the GM will wait for the end of the year to fire those 4 people, but if they happen to lose to DETROIT, I wonder.

White Devil

I don’t think the team would be any worse had they given Lock the starting job at the beginning of the season, and they would have been able to assess if he had a future with the team. You can’t judge Lock by how he played last season without a training camp, and with a new offense and coordinator and throwing to 2 rookies, one of which led the league in drops (Jeudy). Fangio, Paton and Shurmur tried to play it safe by going with the veteran because they thought they’d be fielding an all time top defense and all they needed was a QB who could dink and dunk and not turn the ball over. Going into 2022, the Broncos don’t have a QB. Lock’s confidence has been shattered. Teddy will be gone. The entire coaching staff should be fired…we’ll see about that. This team has some good players but no leadership from the top down.

    Patrick Smith

How can you not judge Lock because he didn’t have a training camp and preseason when everyone else didn’t either. It was his job to lose.
