People dont understand how long it can take to build a solid team. Its frustrating ik but wouldn’t it be better to give them time so they can make to playoffs or superbowl. So they can find a long term QB. It just takes so long. This season I dont think was ever going to be the season they are suddenly at the top. Drew never went through the full ups and downs of being a QB and I’d rather him do that this year than be good in the first years and regress later on. Also the injuries and covid and no offseason or pre season. That can be hard on rookie’s. They need the offseason and preseason. These rookies have to get comfortable on the field and really know what they’re doing and the coaching hasn’t been great this year. The talent is all over this team but the NFL isnt easy. Since Drew’s been here hes hurt his finger on his throwing hand. His shoulder on his throwing arm and now his ribs. And getting covid. None of these injuries have fully healed so I’m sure he feels pain but look at how determined he was to play in that dolphins game. That’s the best game of his season and i say this bc he looked less stressed and more relaxed and he got started in the first quarter. He had that pick which we all knew was coming but he came back from it. and look the raiders game wasnt all on him. They continued to let him play while he was in pain and getting tackled more and more and they should have benched him so he didnt throw those interceptions. At the same time he got up and played through that. And looking at the other players they have done great progressing but even they have areas to improve in. Like maybe Melvin gordan fixing the fumbling problem. And it all comes with experience.
Fangio and Shurmur both deserve to be back next season and hopefully with a proper off season this time. The only way I would say to fire them is if the team full on collapses by losing out and having multiple blowout losses in this final stretch of games. Even then, is there really going to be a better option available? Everyone wants the innovative college coach but for every Sean McVay, there’s a Chip Kelly.

My thing is what were the other 3-4 years of just mediocrity? They seem to act as though it all just started this year. We have been wht seems to us fans as a train wreck since Manning retired. We cannot forget the fact we did nothing and endured losing seasons then that we just don’t bring to light enough. We are suffering and no one has just come out and said that to us. Just forget this week’s loss and move on.
