Good to know our back ups can hustle and play but, damn Mills needs a lot of reps however outstanding hustle by the Defense.

Mills finished strong with the complete pass and then a touchdown after a slow start remember he was like that last year plus he only played two snaps last week he will get better next week before the regular season
I hope he hurries up and gets on it.
@OneLow GMC he played like a backup because he’s a backup level quarterback. I’ve been saying this all along. This guy is not a franchise quarterback in any way whatsoever

He sucked for most of the first half, can’t even score against a 2nd team defense, he got lucky on that one pass, looked like he bobbled it
Sadly if any of the Rams starting O-Linemen go down Staffords going to get killed.. That was some ugly play by the Rams in the 1st half.. Dang..
No starters played at all or anyone we consider that’s has potential played these our fights for 3rd n 4th string

@daviidlawrence Yeah give him time. Edward, Havenstein, Corbett, even Brian Allen didnt shine until year 3. I think Bruss will be fine midway through the season. We also have Anchrum who is legit. Arcuri was doing pretty well too.
Whether you love or hate him lovey Smith and his defense follows him around no matter what team he Coaches just shows how good he is at making a defense😎
@Landon Patton only the Bears were known for their Defense. The Bucs in 2014 and 2015 had no identity, they were so horrible. Well and the Texans what good can you say?
@Edgar Casiano all 3 of those teams had/have the same problem. Administrative metaling. In a situation where he didn’t have that, the 2001 rams he didn’t have that problem. Plus he’s defenses aren’t about being the best overall defense, but causing the most turnovers

@Landon Patton but the Rams won because of their offense. I don’t get your point here sorry. If you are trying to use culture or team problem, lets use Sean Mcvay as a perfect example. The Rams were one of the worst teams in the NFL before he got there. He plays the Tampa 2 defense and it clearly work 20 years ago because most offense weren’t sure how to attack it. My point is as a defensive coach I think he is overrated.
Got to hand it to the Houstons, they were more consistent through 4 quarters (we weren’t as McVay said) but I still feel good about the Rams. These preseason games are awesome across the board, which can only mean a great season ahead for us fans 👌😎

Either that or go full Hail Mary into the endzone (as Mills did before the first half ended). Instead he threw it to a guy with 3 defenders around him. The fumble at the end was just icing on the cake

I like the tenacity and blitz packages. I wish teams would bring back the corner back blitz.

Expectations aren’t high for the Texans and rightfully so…especially with Metchie being out this season, and Dameon Pierce just starting his career…if he can’t cut it, we got Marlon Mack and Rex Burkhead. Too much uncertainty if they would win more than 5 games.
I love how there is always a big play when a player or coach is talking and then they go crazy excited 😂
This was actually a fun preseason game to watch. This McCutcheon kid for the Rams is gonna be a star.

The Texans defense really worked on tackling. Finally wrapping up and almost no missed tackles
That Lovie Smith defense!!! They drafted some really good guys on def too. They are gonna be top 5 in the league in a few years
Our head coach is a guy who was an amazing defensive coordinator, I can’t wait for the season to start
Pre season has made me realize how much of a gap there is between starting – and backup offensive line
Yup but it’s good experience for them considering that the Texans were using their better players
@Greg P Not true, Jackson & Ankrum can play, Evans, Bruss are not good, Bruss is a rookie though, most back up O-lines play poorly against 1st team defense, but at least they get experience, Rams 2nd team defense played neck and neck with the Texans 1st team offense that is NOT good 🤣

Wow! Texans looking decent! They beat my Rams. It’s only preseason, but hey. A win is a win. Maybe Tennessee won’t run away with the AFC South this season!
