I actually knew this was going to be a loss. I said it in the beginning that the season REALLY begins against the Cardinals at home.

Nah. We’ve watched Carr for 8 years already. He’s definitely not a beast. He’s a lot of talk and inconsistent action. Sometimes, he leads us to a late victory; other times, he just curls up in a ball and fumbles the ball (he did that twice in a row at the end of this game) when all he has to do is run for the first down. There’s a reason no team wanted to give up a first round pick for him when Gruden was shopping him before last season.

If the Raiders front office was smart they’d tank for CJ Stroud, Bryce Young, or Anthony Richardson. They would be legit superbowl contenders with an elite QB, but as a Charger fan Im glad that wont happen lol

This loss is on Derek everyone else played well enough to win. He should have worked out some of the rust in preseason not week 1
Really ? You didn’t see the Oline constantly getting overwhelmed ? 6 sacks man, each pick he had pressure in his face cmon now.
@Amir Abdullah no pocket mobility whatsoever. He was like a statue, the oline needs to be better but 3-4 of the sacks were a direct result of Carr not moving

Not that I’m a Carr hater, but i feel like we should’ve kept Mariota. Remember how the offense just lit up after he went in during that one game against the chargers. Had we had the 2021 defense instead of the 2020 we would’ve won the game. Carr is a good dude and I like him as a person but it hurts to see that we lose like this and to think that it feels like the Chargers got alot better and a lot quicker than the Raiders.
@angelino chicano you gotta watch how Herbert deals with the rush, pressure was in his face all game to. But unlike Carr he gets out the pocket. I’d even say Carr is taught to stay in the pocket. He hardly moves at all.
We will bounce back, im still confident that this is gonna be a good season 🙂

We had no wr1 no cb1 and no te1🤣 carr is just bad in general. He played his worst game because chargers defense put to much pressure on him and took away every other option BUT adams

This was far from the worst game of his career. Try any game against the chiefs. Only excluding the W he got against the chiefs at the black hole during his rookie year second game in November

Everyone talks trash about Aaron Rodgers but he is way better than Derek Carr will ever be. Adam‘s talent is gonna be wasted on the Raiders. He’s gonna play his heart out every year to just barely missed the playoffs or get knocked out in the wildcard, I guess it’s better than playing your heart out and getting knocked of the division or conference bracket every year

Carr is my QB. Played the absolute worst game ive ever seen from him and still almost won.. shake it off next week we will be ready sunday was very humbling for this team.

Went from 12 minutes left in 2nd quarter (3-3) to 3rd quarter (3-17)? wtf? And then it ends with aver 3 minutes within one score after Raiders seemly gained momentum on a stopped drive? Whose making these highlight compilations? That was terrible.
Hobbs is gonna be remembered when he’s retired! Glad we have him!
