He’s definitely a player’s coach… Dude has a personality you instantly connect with and are ready to work under. He also gives real answers, not generic words.

My advice for Dolphins fans from a 49ers fan. Just remember that he’s a young coach and will probably make mistakes and lose you games sometimes, like clock management, time out usage or whatever. But you learn from that stuff. Even if he thinks hes ready, he might not be. But again, he’s intelligent. He knows football, and he can teach football at the highest level. If your fanbase is patient I think you’ll be rewarded.

I can forgive Mike in his 1st year for doin similar stuff, especially since his demeanor is anti flo and is highly intelligent and will prolly learn quick

refreshing honest answer, not simply salty or bad mouthing the situation which i have gotten a lot of which has been super annoying lol but your comment is appreciated and I can tell that you live a rewarding life just by your ability to put things in perspective and handle things with class. Much luck to you going forward! thanks for your input i also love him and agree to an extent because we do have some veteran coaching presence there that are there to assist him with that so i am not naive enough to think he wont make mistake such as clock management but lose game? idk over the season maybe 1 game he could lose but i doubt multiple losses just on him, just my opinion. best of luck thanks for your comment

Its no surprise that they hired him after hearing him talk. Very intelligent, witty, and confident. I am impressed just hearing him answer a few questions. Imagine hearing him layout the full plan for the future in a 10hr interview. They were probably blown away. He can for sure talk the talk, I am eager and excited to see him walk the walk.
@David Norco Not weird…..just a quirky guy that knows the game really well. The players will love him because he thinks outside the box. He’s always searching for new ideas and will undoubtedly allow his players the freedom to connect well as a team. I don’t see him changing much defensively…..but offensively I see a much more reliable running game and even more incorporated into the game plan to keep Waddle involved as much as possible. If nothing else…..it will be fun to see new looks…..this guy may be the next best thing in coaching…..I’m excited to watch his offense.

Coach McDaniel brings great energy and intelligence as well as a genuine respect for the game and the players. His ability to connect with and teach others is outstanding. Very happy he’s here in Miami!
I preferred an experienced coach while the search was ongoing. I am impressed with McDaniel’s ability to convey his message, connect, and come across as a very sincere person.
I hope McDaniel proves me wrong and he is the long term answer at HC for our Fins.

49er fan here. Mike is great! Smart, honest and funny. Your offense will be confusing the opposition. Your defense will be speedy and dominating. Yeah, I have another team root for when the 49ers are not playing.
Travis dude, what a trip to watch you go from a regular dude that was passionate about the dolphins to doing an interview with their brand new coach! Proud to have been there for the ride. Also McDaniel is the man! He’s gonna keep reworking things till he creates a dominant offense one way or another. I’m stoked
