Allen Lazard has no leverage in negotiations. He will be there for training camp and play the season for the 3.9 mill tender. If he has a great season, then he can pull big bucks from Packers or in free agency if it gets to that. He is a UFA next season.
I was thinking the exact same thing…I don’t even fully understand why he is holding out. He hasn’t had a breakout year yet. Last year he wasn’t terrible by any stretch. He still needs to prove himself though. He definitely should prove himself this year and I’m sure he would get a contract. He has zero leverage I couldn’t agree more.
