@Rolo Tomasi got drafted by a soft team and kept him on their roster for 4 years to save face , at least they took clinton portis with their next pick in that draft though , possibly the best back in broncos history but came at the wrong time .

If they make moves like this it just means they’ve been evaluating those players for a long while and like them. You don’t do this unless you’ve done your homework. Clearly with the connections to hamler then they had probably said if he’s still around to get him. Same thing with the CB, it’s an odd pick for some but they clearly have done homework on him

When a position is deep in a certain draft, take advantage of that. Hamler has similar stats to Ruggs, provides return ability and adds needed depth
