This is a comment to the great Nate Newton statement of not being able to block if he had to. Most not all there are exceptions, but on the average, the pro football players age’s so much faster than the average human being. From pee wee football to the end of a pro football players career, there has been so much wear and tear on that body along with injuries and surgery’s the body can only take so much. I feel for them. Hence what a normal 50yr old male can do, may be a little more difficult for an ex pro football player to do at the age of 50. A pro football player is only human when it comes down to it. Again I say the body can only take so much wear and tear.

Jay Ratliff, that is when he was healthy, is the player I think of when it comes to nose tackles of past Cowboy teams, he was a mean and powerful player. He was a dominant nose tackle when he played for the Cowboys. After him I can’t think of any outstanding nose tackle of recent teams. the Cowboys didn’t seem to care or think that the nose tackle was that important, like all the effort and picks and money they put toward edge rushers and now we are paying for it. It seemed like all they cared about was the pass rusher, hence leaving the middle of our defenses vulnerable to the run.

Score boards don’t matter its your opponent in front of you period you start watching scores you get beat. Best thing is to handle the business infront of you.
