Jesse is in the wrong format. Create a new show called “Critical Cowboys” and let him go off about all cowboys deficiencies.

HWYB was my favorite when Shannon Gross was host. But now….

Favorites this season:
1. The Break – AmBAR has gotten much better, and adding Brian Brodis was a huge upgrade. Overall good show.

2. Taking Cowboys – Kyle Yoman has the best host voice, manages the conversation without taking it over.

3. Players Lounge – Newie Scruggs does a great job… But the rest of the cast can be pretty hot and cold, so not as consistently good, but still good.

4. Media Mash – Depends on the mix, but you get something different than the other shows which I like.

5. Mick Shots – this could be my number 3, and used to be my last favorite. Only reason they’re this far down is they can get off topic for sometimes a LONG time. But most history, long term understanding, and fairest. The show has definitely grown on me over time.

6. Girls Talk Boys Talk – I think it’s an awkward name. I think they should just rename it Girls Talk Cowboys. Two-“I” it’s getting better, just needs a bit more confidence. The show flows well, regardless of who’s hosting. Their analysis is a little different than what you get from the guys shows, but I do think it brings a little bit of a different dimension to the conversation. I think they are missing an opportunity to do a small football tutorial with every episode. They do this short bit called Past interference, which is fun. But I think explaining one basic football concept per episode in a comfortable way for women who aren’t interested in sports or are newly interested in football can learn the game with a little 30 second to 1 minute explanation of football basics. And let’s be honest, not all of us guys out here understand the difference between cover one and cover three defense! 😂

7. HWTB – without Shannon Gross, the show’s become disproportionately negative. Shannon would ensure balance and Nate would feed off of that. Now Nate feeds off of Jesse’s negativity and defers to him and allows him to more often than not talk 2/4 to 3/4 of the time, not sure the conversation, and instead turn it into a platform where he just expresses what he thinks and gets a few comments along the way about it. Instead of being fun to watch, I never walk away from this show feeling good about the team that I spend so much time in money invested in. Every other show does a lot of critical analysis of areas of improvement for the Cowboys, yet none of them come across so negatively. It’s just less fun to listen to, and Jesse’s poorly veiled a attempts at inappropriate humor just aren’t enough to counteract the shows lack of Balance, lack of fun, lack of general positivity, lack of varying perspective…

I do also listen to Voch Lombardi, Cowboys TV Chat Sports, and Mike Fisher.

Please watch the film again, Big Nate. DL is NOT the problem. It’s the scheme and LVE and Barr when he was in there not coming downhill! Too many stunts and misalignments vs overloads. This is on Quinn to make personnel and scheme adjustments! PERIOD
