You missed out on JJ, time to sign AJ.

    man man

Aj is gone jamal williams up

    josh cobb

Corey Davis I think you mean

    Pack 1

We didn’t miss out on anyone.

    kevin le kebbles

“Missed out” in an old injury prone luxury piece that would have not been noticable overall in the season, were the Texans anything on defense ? No? Exactly
    Don’t sweat it

    Chris Kay

@kevin le kebbles You obviously never watched any Texans games. Wat was getting double and triple teamed every game because he was the only pass rusher they had. You would be beyond naive to think he would not be noticible in Green Bay with Zadarius Smith and Rashaun Gary to help him on the line.

Peter Ohrmund

Why does Gutekunst still have a Job?

    Chris Kay

@Ja Mo LOL this is utterly false. Rodgers was missing open recievers left and right two seasons ago. He cost the team at least 7 points every week with blown throws. And LOL he does not have lackluster talent around him. He has one of the best WR’s in the league and one of the best RB’s in the league a;long with a breakout TE.

    Gilly Vibes

They should have never drafted Jordan Love

    Chris Kay

@Gilly Vibes Bet you were saying the same thing about Aaron Rodgers. People have learned nothing from that.

    Gilly Vibes

@Chris Kay Aaron showing no signs of slowing down. Are you ok with sitting Jordan 4-5 more years

    Chris Kay

@Gilly Vibes One injury is all it takes to end Rodgers career and there are no guarnatees that he will be injury free. Are you willing to hope that Rodgers doesn’t suffer that with no hope behind him for 3 more years? I’m not. I am absolutely fine with the Jordan Love pick for the same reason that I was fin with the drafting of Rodgers. They are planning for the future after a HOF QB. If Ted Thompson had your attitude in 2005, Rodgers would be wearing another uniform and the Packers would be a doormat still looking for Favre’s replacement.

Go pack go

Pack 1

I trust Gute will do something big either in FA or the draft!

    Ja Mo

Based on what? I dont trust him at all. And I also think he doesn’t care if Rodgers doesn’t win another ring before he didnt draft him.

Carroll Kelly

Lot of Gut questions and answers is up to Coach LaFleur not him! He’s taking to much on himself! That’s why you hire a Coach!

    Lorenzo Carbajal

These are standard questions every GM takes.

Emmett Wesolowski

Gute has always been a valuable part of this franchise and has done well. Hopefully this year we can get the right pieces.

    Ja Mo

Lol. Overrated. Hes not that valuable. We should have a ring right now. He took last year off as a GM.

Hephzibah

My take a way from this interview is that Aaron Jones will most definitely be franchised tagged.

    Mark Heddle

I think its a no brainer because at least it prevents him leaving for nothing.

    Ja Mo

That would be the dumbest move ever.

    Andrew Pirrello

Jones would still have to sign the franchise tag if applied. Giving him the franchise tag doesn’t force him to play. It only provides Jones 1 year of financial security, it’s actually in his benefit to not sign it and hold out for a long-term year.

    Sarah Cullen

Either or if he does sign the Packers could do damage maybe but but if he doesn’t sign they’re most likely going to draft another one like I thought they would because they’ve already sat down and talked with two

Ja Mo

Smh. Hes about to do a lot of nothing in free agency. The fact that Preston Smith will be back is disappointing.

    Andrew Pirrello

@Chris Kay Preston Smith has a 16 million cap this year, cutting him does clear 8 million but also counts for 8 million against the cap. Yes I agree Preston Smith had a down year last year but we are not going to find an edge rusher who could make a bigger impact then Preston for 8 or less million. Also what if Z or Gary gets hurt this year? you’re going to wish you had a player like Preston then. We really only have 3 edge rushers (Z, Gary, Preston) and you can never have enough edge rushers.

    Chris Kay

@Andrew Pirrello There is this thing called the draft. Preston Smith is overpaid at 16 million. That 8 million is better spent elsewhere than carrying his corpse around.

    Andrew Pirrello

@Chris Kay And they will likely draft an edge in the draft, however, I already see error in what you’re saying. You’re already expecting a potential rookie edge player to come in and suddenly produce. It’s not going to happen, if we draft an edge, you can expect production 2-3 years into their career. Almost no edge rushers come in as rookies and make an impact. It makes sense to keep Preston for at least another year, let a rookie edge develop for at least a season. Give Preston the chance to redeem himself after just 1 down year. If he doesn’t bounce back we can cut him next off-season for only a 4 million dead cap hit, much more manageable and realistic. And yes Preston Smith is overpaid at 16 million, that’s why the Packers have avoided signing free agents because you always overpay for players that sign during the first week of free agency. Packer fans get mad when they don’t sign free agents, then get mad when they do sign big names but then get handcuffed by their contracts. Can’t always have your cake and eat it too.

    Ja Mo

@Andrew Pirrello you can find a better edge rusher in the draft.

    Andrew Pirrello

@Ja Mo Sure… you “could” find a better edge rusher in the draft. Analytics don’t support it though, much higher chance of you drafting a bust then a stud in the draft. And the Packers have done such a great job at drafting edge rushers with premium picks over the last number of years… Nick Perry, Datone Jones, Khyri Thornton, Vince Biegel… Appears Rashan Gary is the only pick that may turn out to be something. Also, the man literally had 1 bad season and you wanna cut him. Mason Crosby had a bad year once, we didn’t cut him and look at what happened. Davante Adams had a horrible first couple years as a Packer, now look at him. C’mon people, stop seeking instant gratification.

onone since81

Im hi on dillion but aaron jones is top 3 rb in league ! I would keep him atleast 5 more years hes going up

Greg Miller

What would you guys do first if we had $76 million in cap space like the Jaguars do 😂
