The defensive game plan wasn’t that weak. Brady getting that ball out quickly, had a big effect. I’m proud of our team, especially working with reserves, taking on the number one defense and Tom Brady.
We lost to a tough team, and didn’t have key players. We are a different team this year. I’m disappointed, but proud of the effort.

I’m not Defensive guru, but a Defensive Coordinator needs to utilize the talent of his players the best possible way for them to succeed. For example, Joyner isn’t a nickel corner; He’s best position is safety. Erik Harris isn’t an every down safety; he can’t cover but he fits better on short yardage situation.

We brought in so much talent, some of the best line backers and safety’s, and all of a sudden in gunthers system, they are average at best

B S because it’s to try and keep the Brady bunch of the field and also points are points get what we can get especially that close of a game I rather only be down by 4 then to go for it and mess up . Giving Brady an other chance to score making the lead bigger

Yeah I’m going to say if you’ve had trouble stopping Brady all day, it’s best to have the balls to go for the 4th and 1, and then get the 7pts for the tie. At that point, I believe there was about 8 minutes left in game. Show no fear and go for their throats. Carr was playing extremely well up to that point. He was showing alot of confidence. Since our pass rush is lacking, and we’re banged up in our secondary, I’m going for killshots if I’m calling the plays bro. Playing conservative in that situation just took the wind out of everyone’s sails..Especially us fans watching. Ah well. On to the next one…

@Andre Berry u make no sense bro. That fake punt was in a time of the game we didn’t need to do it. But then he doesn’t go for it when we absolutely need points. That’s why we lose games being conservative. Gruden playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Being aggressive is how we beat the chiefs.

falloutgam3r101 yeah he’d have a connection with them but what else? We don’t have OLB’s. We don’t have a sure NT that’s going to eat up double teams. We’d have to move Ferrell and Crosby more inside. I don’t think you get how this works. And we’re good on Weddle. Anthony Harris from the Vikings would be great. Maybe try to steal Budda Baker from the Cards

@Hog Energy If we get Wade Phillips and he becomes defensive coordinator, he’d make the changes needed for his scheme to work like it did in LA. Because his scheme is a 3-4, he can move Mo Hurst to the primary DT position and allow Clelin to go back to his natural position as a defensive end and keep Crosby at right end. We already have 4+ linebackers, Carl Nassib was a LOLB from Tampa, keep Littleton and Raekwon McMillian at MLB and move Kwiat out to right. Trade Maliek Collins for a 4th round pick to a team in need for a DT. Maybe even a third if we trade Erik Harris along with him. Eric Weddle would be a better option because he could most likely get signed to a cheap 1 yr deal unlike Anthony Harris whose gonna want to get payed. Worst case scenario when hiring Anthony Harris is that he wouldn’t play well in Guenther’s scheme. And then what? Are we just gonna allow Guenther’s defense to continue ruing star players like Littleton and Joyner? I’ve always thought that it was the players that weren’t doing their job however it’s one thing when a player plays bad on multiple teams but it’s and totally different thing when multiple star players suddenly become bad on one team’s defense. Hire Phillips, change to a 3-4 where Littleton, Joyner, Nassib and McMillan all thrived in, and see what happens. The Raiders currently have nothing to lose in regards to changing their defense. If they continue playing the way they are right now, pretty soon our whole defense would need an overhaul with the exception of Maxx, Abram, Mo, Mullen and Kwiat.

Our defense wasn’t on the same field as the bucs defense. The schemes we used against the chiefs were totally different and we looked great yesterday we were slow and sloppy

Damon and Mullen and abram are prolly our best defenders now and with no good pass rush pursuit angles Crosby and Ferrell hast to go into containment to a QB who doesn’t even run out of the pocket so good job you 2 you stopped him from running but our DT aren’t getting any penetration and hurst is our real only threat on the interior
