I think we all know Lloyd is struggling. What I want to hear someone talk about is how we get him back to playing the way he did for the first 4-5 games, vs. just continuously banging on the kid and acting like he’s been a disaster since day one. Also, let’s be honest — Muma was okay. He was better than Lloyd because he was in the right place most of the time, but he had his own issues in both phases…and he was not as good as Lloyd early in the season. The idea that there’s some radical delta between the two players is going off the rails a bit. Lloyd has played the run well all year, and early in the season he did some really nice things in coverage. Hard to understand exactly what is happening, but he does not seem confident out there right now, does not seem to know his role within the defense, and it’s hard to feel like that’s not on the coaching staff. The truth is that Oluokun and Muma have not been great either, with the exception of last week — and I will admit that if having Muma out there let’s Foye play like he did vs Ravens the rest of the year, then you can’t make a change. Jury is out on that front though.

Glad to hear Lags shout out Josh Allen. He was really good. This just reinforces my concerns with Pete and Tony when they say they “watched the tape” and then go on to bash the guy as though he was wholly ineffective. Did you watch the tape? Or did you just put the game on while responding to texts and having a beer? Lol. If you’re not watching every play multiples times, you’re not “watching the tape.”
