No one talks about Tommy Sweeney?? I feel like he’s really good!!
Completely agree. One big step up for the Bills (that is rarely talked about) is our depth right now. Tommy as a rookie didn’t get many looks and had an injury as well. He has good size/great hands though and I loved him at B.C. in college. Dawson Knox played really well and had a lot of ‘hype’ plays last year, but he also had a lot of drops. Sweeney has really reliable hands for catching the ball, but he isn’t the most athletic. Sweeney and Duke Williams played really well in the last game of the Regular season vs Jets (when we sat our Starters for Playoffs). After re-signing Croom I was surprised we didn’t just drop Kroft who we should have never signed during FA last year. I think Knox/Sweeney/Croom with Lee Smith in on some blocking assignments would be plenty. Was hoping we would get in to more 2 TE sets this year with Knox/Sweeney both in at times. Going to be hard to out-play Kroft/Croom in camp for Sweeney though.
Zachary Madden I don’t think lee smith is still on the team anymore, he was one one year deal, I’m not 100% sure, but that’s what I thought I heard
