This guy is becoming a legitimate superstar safety. Hard hitter now he’s playing much more confidently in the secondary
I think he has taken positive steps forward the last few games, but he isn’t even Pro Bowl calibur yet, but hopefully he continues to make improvements. During the first 8 games he was awful, and he missed a lot of tackles and had a very low rating by PFF. The last few games he has made incremental improvements, but I am not willing to call him a superstar or anything like that, until he demonstrates a high level of consistency for an entire season.
If you notice they have been playing him more like we wanted to play John Johnson and honestly he has been everything we hoped John would be. Seems like it could be the end of the Johnson era and beginning of delpit and bell era
@StevenC32 fair enough I just think the whole defense struggled much of the first half the season and it is not on the players as much as it is on joe woods

The last 4 or 5 games he looked better but I need to see him do it next year before I start believing he’s legit. Bcuz the way he begun the season was not good at all
They changed how he played from the beginning of the season to now he went from free to playing mote strong safety and taking to role from John Johnson and it has worked extremely well would love to see what they will do with the money they save from cutting John
Defense has balled lately, they’re finally getting it done. Turnovers are about being in the right place to make them. Joe Woods has been barbecued unjustly, players have to be accountable too.

Grant Delpit has been playing very well the last couple of weeks, he has 3 interceptions in 2 games. He also is tackling a lot better too. I hope he continues this level of play into the 2023 season, because the team needs him in order to be successful.

Makes you wonder, why does this always happen at the end of the year. When we’re out of the playoffs. Just keep the Steelers home with us, that’s all I ask.
