Tate was quite the outspoken soldier this week as he called out teammates Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond as being “selfish” for leaving the team due to suspensions. We’re not exactly sure just how this stance will play out in the locker room, but any divisiveness could be trouble for the Seahawks as they head towards the playoffs.
Tate will need to back up his attitude with his play on the field and needs to do it against a very tough Saints pass defense that ranks fifth in the league and only gives up 198 yards through the air per game. In addition to that, Tate will likely line up as the team’s No. 2 receiver behind Percy Harvin and while New Orleans ranks just 16th against opposing No. 2’s, they are only giving up 45.8 yards per game to them.
