Definitely some questionable moves by Joe Douglas and Coach Saleh
@Let’s Talk About It! Dunn was not that good. Guidry would’ve had to contribute on special teams to have made the roster because the CB room is stacked. Pinnock one confused me as well but if they go out and get Tartt or Anthony harris then it’s fine
if you keep those guys, who you cutting? numbers game….I’ll give you Pinnock over Davis, but it came down to special teams
@bnelson2571 easily L.Joyner, A.Davis, J.Hardee joyner is hurt constantly hasn’t played. Davis really just takes bad angles looks like he doesnt even know what hes doing may be a good athlete but he sucks at football. Hardee don’t need em he’s not doing anything but special teams someone else can be a gunner
@Chris N I feel where you’re coming from but they could’ve kept them over Joyner Davis and Hardee. 1st one hasn’t been playing because of injury the 2nd one has been out played regardless of his athleticism and Hardee is just a gunner not being used for anything else. Keep the Young guys moving with these reps. Giving you the A.G.N.B rather than the ones who aren’t playing or just taking up a spot…make sense?
@Let’s Talk About It! Hardee shouldn’t be cut, before we got him our special teams was horrid and our gunners used to take forever or miss a bunch of easy tackles. He’s also one of the best gunners in the league. I agree with pinnock, I was shocked when he got cut but not Dunn or Guidry. Sauce, DJ Reed, MC2 and Bryce Hall are all better. Echols isn’t really the best but he’s a good ball hawk and tackler so even if they made it, I doubt they would’ve sniffed the field aside from special teams and unless they were impeccable on special teams. Even if they did improve drastically they would’ve been at best 2nd team because these guys Sauce, Reed and MC2 are our future at the position

That’s easy to fix, just sign like three players that are in their eighties, bam veteran team. I suppose some of them will die, but that’s football.

I can respect the commitment to stick with some of these players that are bottom tier but moldable until they need to re-up a contract. Not a favorable move but if it pans out we’ll all be praising him.

Sorry but Sheppard and Ashtyn Davis shouldn’t be on this team still. And Joyner is injury prone. The OL depth is thin as well. And the DC is sus at this point.

Interior depth is fine, Tackles aren’t but I’d rather be thin and go after quality then have to watch Edoga or McDermott ever again. Moves are still to be made and the seasons is still about a week and a half away

What u have done has been amazing and obviously it has to turn into Ws at some point and i know it will but you will be the reason the jets culture and franchise will be changed forever and hopefully you’re a jet for LIFE

I tried to watch this whole press conference, but the bulls#!+ got so high i couldn’t see Joe anymore. I guess he didn’t watch the preseason games. The 1st team sucked and the players that won the games he cut. Davis is trash, streveler beat out white, and take a look at Joe’s first draft class, the only thing we got was a punter. Jury still out on Joe.
a) The first team was not that bad it was just Flacco, also it was just a dress rehearsal. The first time they’ve played more than a drive all preseason. B) Ashtyn Davis is 3rd on the depth chart and is only on special teams. White is a more capable QB than Strevler. He has better pocket presence, goes through his progressions and so on. c) He drafted for Adam Gase and Gregg Williams. Also Gase had partial control of the front office. Why not mention Joe’s last drafts and free agencies? Oh right because he did good in them and that doesn’t fit your agenda lmao
Well he can’t tell you what is really going on or he’ll be stepping on guys toes. A lot of those guys you’re talking about did it against 3rd stringers and watered down playbooks, while the bosses saw everything they can do against their own 1’s and 2’s in Camp. Of course the jury is still out because they draft high every year, but the only we can gauge for 2022 and beyond is the process the FO is taking to get better. Many good GM’s botch some drafts too — the overall is what keeps them employed.

I been reading all the comments and I’m not gonna lie I’m upset about some of the cuts but I just thought for a second and “there is things that we don’t see happening behind close doors that make them make these decisions. Just cuz some of those players balled out in the preseason don’t mean Joe and the staff didn’t see certain types of weakness they have”. I could be wrong but it does make sense. So we have no choice but to trust the process as annoying as that sounds. Let’s just hope it works out and let’s support our team. GO JETS!

This is the last year that Corey Davis’ contract is guaranteed. And I think it’s his last year on the Jets. Mims will be taking his place as the big, possession-type receiver. His upside looks good.
And obviously Joe can’t tell us that’s what he told Mims, but I’d bet he did in some form or another. I’m not even sure that Davis is better than him right now.
