I clicked through several teams’ post-draft press conferences, and Paton was the only GM I saw (out of 6 other teams I looked at) who took time to thank his staff by name. over 25% of the conference was him calling out his people one by one for their hard work. Other teams thanked their staff, but usually if they did it was less than 2 minutes. Gotta love that about Paton.
Exactly! Who wouldn’t wanna work with a guy like this? An organization’s identity starts at the top. Paton seems like a genuinely great leader and person. Some of his moves made me go “huh?!?” But once you stop and think about it, theres logic behind every move. #GPatty

@RockPony Sparkle Princeoffriendship With shockingly lucky good health for the team…maybe. People should first focus their b’tching at coaches and play-callers, *not* QB’s. If Lock played phenomenal last year, Broncos likely still wouldn’t have made the playoffs. Lock did what *every* GM, Coach and Fan *truly* wants a QB on a no-playoff-chance team to do…play aggressive and not F*-up getting a top 10 draft pick. Constructive criticism is all Lock deserves, not thrown under the bus.

Everybody is talking about the offence and the “QB not drafted to compete against Mahomes/Herbert” but just take a moment to realize the potential this defence has.
We can easily go from a great defence to a monumental defence.
I was impressed that Paton took the time to acknowledge/thank all the staff behind the scene something I don’t remember Elway ever doing. Kudos to George!
