    I’ve seen Webb for years now. He has improved a great deal. Kind of strange, Giants may have the best back up QBs in the league, very different from the last few seasons. I think that they should retain Webb.

    @Adam Carman I agree with you regarding getting excited over past coach Jo Judge. But at the same time nothing is the same. It is in no way the same level of coaching, culture, and overall player development. You have to see it. Don’t hold back. Express optimism… Because you have every right to, because this team is going places. It has not been like this in a very long time in terms of the level of coaching and the general manager for that matter… And what the ownership is affording him to do.

    @Adam Carman True, you never know until it plays out, but, to me it looks like the Giants have more talent to pick from for this cut-down than last preseason.

Hey it’s the preseason. Glad it’s over. Tough decisions for the final 53. Let the games begin. On playing Golladay I love it. He’s a player on the team who missed a lot of time last year and continued to miss time in training camp. If he can show us the same play like he did against the Saints last year we’ll all be happy. One thing more Alex Bachman has to make this roster.

    If we cut Slayton, he’ll make the roster. If Slayton makes the roster, Bachman probably won’t. David Sills is ahead of him I think. I like Bachman too. I just don’t think we have a spot for him.

    Very few starters on the field from Giants defense. Secondary this year will give up some quick TDs however.

Due to the crazy amount of injuries the Giants have had the past 10 years. Is it possible the Turf in the stadium needs to replaced? I believe that the Turf causes an inordinate amount of injuries whether on the Practice fields or the stadium turf.

    A lot injuries aren’t on the turf, they’re on the practice field which is grass. We’ve been unlucky with injuries but it’s also football and a most other teams are dealing with this as well

    @OscarUnrated and alot of the injuries are on the fake grass…..I thought I read a short while back the Giants were gonna change back to grass?

    They say it leads to a higher amount of non contact related injuries. Makes sense because it locks your foot in tighter than grass does.

    I agree %100 the artificial turf is awful. I remember the Giants had a wide receiver in Mike Sherrard back ‘93 ruin his career.

The effort and energy was great to see. Sills and Bachman did a great job this preseason. Calitro has made himself another difficult cut. This seasons looking like one of the most competitive in many seasons. The players have made it difficult to decide who stays on the roster. Hats off to Schoen/Daboll for making it a competitive preseason, Despite all the injuries to this draft class 23 gonna be a yr that’ll turn around the organization.
Idk where they’ll end up this yr but next season I believe they’ll win the NFC East.

    Yeah, my biggest hope this season is that they just play a more competitive brand of football. I don’t have high expectations on the wins/losses, but I want the Giants both on defense and offense to show some ability to dictate the game, something that they almost never did last year even in the games that they won.

Davis Webb deserves a roster spot even if it means carrying 3 QBs. Also, Stills & Bachman deserve roster spots. They might not be the fastest, tallest or quickest wide receivers but they are smart, gritty & versatile football players; they aren’t just athketes but straight up high football IQ football players. Give me smart & high motor passionate football player types over the athletic freaks on my team any day of the week. Even with emerging receiver Collin Johnson’s unfortunate injury, the Giants have a deep wide receiver corps. Richie James is another receiver who is deserving of a roster spot. I think the last 2 receivers spots will come down to choosing Sills, Bachman or James all of whom have aid their dues, & had good camps & preseasons. Daboll & Schoen are going to have to make some tough choices, which is always a good thing because it shows that you have a surplus of talent & no easy decisions which shows you’re lacking in areas.

Go Giants! Let’s surprise the NFC East & entire NFL this year with the return of dominant Big Blue football.

    I think this will be a no-lose decision. Sills, Bachman, and James are all very good. I’d try to keep all 3 and let Slayton go. Saves the Giants a few bucks where they need it in case they need to sign someone.

    @Pete Carlson True It just sucks someone likely has to get cut & no way are we going to be able to stash away all of the young hidden gem talents we seem to have peppered on the roster. I think Slayton could have a monster year. Slayton has underachieved & is a talented young receiver who’s been disapponting bit I’d rather have him on the roster hoping he’ll put it all together this year. Either that, or we better get something in return for him instead of risking cutting him for cheaper but less experienced & unproven receivers with more dead money cap hits.

Long time fan here. I am pulling hard for Bachman to make the active roster and not just the practice squad. He has been a soldier for us and it sucks to see others who make big salaries not put forth the effort and be rewarded.

    Slayton has speed, can’t argue that, but Bachman seems to have a knack of getting open and a tenacity to make the play. There are a number of WRs over the years who were great despite not being the fastest man on the field.
