On August 26, the Giants will restructure Leonard Williams and Kenny Golladay’s contracts, on August 29, the Giants will waive turnover/injury-prone Daniel Jones, trade Adoree’ Jackson, Nick Gates, Tae Crowder, 2023 2nd-, 3rd- and 4th-round picks and 2024 2nd- and 4th-round picks to the 49ers for Jimmy Garoppolo, trade Sterling Shepard to the Bears for Roquan Smith and a 2023 2nd-rounder, trade Matt Peart and a 2024 6th-rounder to the Ravens for Chuck Clark and trade Blake Martinez, Ben Bredeson, a 2023 1st-rounder and a 2024 3rd-rounder to the Falcons for A.J. Terrell and Matt Hennessy and on August 30, the Giants will sign Jimmy G to a 9-year, $180 million contract extension ($20 million per year) with $66 million guaranteed, sign Saquon Barkley to a 3-year, $36.6 million contract extension ($12.2 million per year), sign Roquan to a 4-year, $42.4 million contract extension ($10.6 million per year) and sign Chuck to a 4-year, $52 million contract extension ($13 million per year), so this season, the Giants will be the team to beat in the NFC and Super Bowl LVII contenders.
