The game plan for Tennessee was pathetic. The team was completely Unprepared to play. Injuries hurt but there was no game plan on either side of the ball that gave us any chance to compete
Well when you can’t stop the run and can’t protect the qb there is only so much you can do.
@Slepay there are ways to stop the run. If Lovie wasn’t as stubborn. He doesn’t like to blitz but run blitz was very necessary yesterday. On Offense they couldn’t run up the middle the were successful on the outside. I mean it isn’t a secret what Tennessee was going to do they should of been better prepared & they should of been able to adjust. Which is inexcusable for a coaching staff.

Interesting he said JG short-term for Jonathan Gannon who interviewed twice in this past offseason. I think Jonathan Gannon gets his shot with the Texans next season. I think Jonathan Gannon would be the perfect head coach for the Houston Texans 2023
I’m more interested in them developing continuity in our coaching staff. If we did make a change, I would suggest keeping Lovie at HC, but adding or promoting from within a different DC. The plan is to build through the draft and plug holes that exist at position groups, then develop the talent that’s already there.
“We need to get better on both sides of the ball” Nick needs to take charge of that statement since the coaching staff can’t. No more Easterby to tip the scales
This team is bereft of talent, especially on the defensive front seven. That is undeniable. I have never seen a team this bad against the run. A team that couldn’t pass the ball was never in danger of losing that game. Let that sink in…. I know bad decisions caused a talent drop, but there are players on practice squads all over the NFL with more talent, specifically at DL and LB. What happened yesterday was pure embarrassment that the fans don’t deserve.
Nick, can you trade for a competent head coach and staff? And please, hire based on merit not diversity.
