@Weldon Mix the simple fact that eventually the windows will start to close and wit all these contracts you can’t keep a team together forever you will lose alot of key players in free agency and also other teams will start getting better making the competition harder..did that kinda answer ur question or you think Josh can keep coming close every year and stay healthy his whole career

@bootknock k You have all the cornerstone pieces under contract for years. QB, WR1, both Tackles, DE, CB1, slot CB, etc. It is not now or never. We have a pretty large window.

@Sharky McShizzle We all have confidence in Beane finding talent, that’s not the question. What is interesting about your comment is the PFF grade. Did you happen to see where rookie CBs ranked in comparison to Levi at 66? And I’m not saying this in a condescending way, but sometimes people seem to forget that the NFL is not Madden. You can’t just plug amd play guys. There is a learning period, knowing the plays, the schemes, getting the chemistry with your teammates, etc. Swapping a 4 year starter with a rookie is going backwards instantly. Could a rookie come out the gate and be amazing? Of course. Is it likely? Not really and especially at CB. The proof is in the pudding. Even Tre Diggs who had a ton of INTs was actually not that great overall in coverage in his first year. He got burned quite a bit against capable QBs.

@MercyfulFrost I’ll admit that I don’t have PFF but I bet that the rookie first round CBs from 2021 are all ranked higher than Levi. Jaycee Horn and Patrick Surtain II went top 10 and play CB. Caleb Farley, Greg Newsome II and Eric Stokes were all taken in the first round before we got Groot.

Levi was an undrafted free agent we picked up in 2018.

@Crash 5485 You’re giving me a headache. Rookie CBs do not cover the best receivers, period. Surtain had K.Fuller for that, Newsome had Ward, Stokes had Alexander, etc. etc. Horn got hurt and shouldn’t even be mentioned. Levi was asked to step up and cover WR1s when Tre went down and he was solid overall. And also unlike all your mentions had to do it against playoff teams as well. You’re also not taking into account that Levi is an incredible tackler for a CB. Highly valued by the Bills. Not one rookie has more tackles than Levi. I don’t agree with you, the proof is right in front of you if you watch other games and pay attention to the details of what’s going on. You try and replace him with a rookie next year and you are worse than you were the year before. Dane Jackson will be CB2 before that happens anyways. Experience can’t be quantified but it’s extremely important. And the Bills know that.

Tre probably won’t be back until about week 5

@Dilly_Dilly_Dale he might be back but I dont expect his play to be at the elite level it was at until late in the season possibly. But if I had to take a guess it’s going to be 2023 before his knee really feels good to him.
