I love that Chris has the balls to go off the ‘safe’ rankings and rank them as he really feels. I love 4 of these 5 rankings, Watson esp looks crazy special. That speed and agility at that size reminds me of a young Moss, I’m surprised more people aren’t all over him.

Alec Pierce on the other hand I think will be this years Dyami Brown. I watched some of his film and while he has great top end speed, adjusts to the ball great in the air and has great releases, he doesn’t really do anything else well. He has bad hip flexibility and slow acceleration, he struggles on any route that isn’t a straight line and struggles after the catch if he isn’t already at top speed upon catching the ball or has to change direction at all.

I think he’ll have a role as a deep/jump ball threat, but I don’t think Pierce is freaky enough to overcome his weaknesses like Metcalf to be an all around threat. I think Chris is overrating Pierce due to Metcalf’s success. I could see him being sort of a lesser Devante Parker if things swing right though.

    i got the similar rankings. i got pierce and watson over london. but wilson is my no.1 eyey. jerry rice would be out of his top 10 because he is not a speedy size freak athlete. my crush is Jalen Tolbert. not a big time program-school, but he is one of the most natural receiver after wilson.

    @corikeegs Here’s the problem. Watson’s production was much lower than almost every WR in the drafft class except Perkins of Georgia. That scares me. At D2 he should be dominating

    I’m not sure exactly what you are referring to and I don’t remember if Simms explained it in this episode or his last one with his initial WR rankings but if it’s about the OSU guys Simms literally explained why they were always open not just that they were always open. Did you pay attention to his explanation? 😀
