They wont waste a 1st round on a QB they have many other positions of need. They’d happily pick up a veteran in free agency. Someone like dalton maybe to be a quality backup or average starter if tb12 doesnt return and if they arent comfortable with stidham as the future which it looks like they are.

@That Guy 313 the biggest problem the Lions had was pass-rush this is why the defensive backs got tore up because the opposing team quarterback had six to eight seconds to throw the ball. So you need someone who’s a disrupter it gets pressure on a quarterback. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the Lions drafted one of the top offensive lineman to help protect Stafford which I would have no problem with

@That Guy 313 Thank you someone who gets it. Isiah Simmons might be a really good player but the position will probably take a few years before he is good. Bigger need is the Defensive line & Offensive line. Also after this year no WR’s signed will become a huge problem in 2021/2022

Denver will roll with Davis and Johnson at ILB. It’s a very low position of need compared to WR, OL, DL.

@A Lee in all honesty unless you’re young and stacked at a position, you still draft the best available player. If you improve your team that’s all that matters. It’s very rare for need and available talent to happen at the same time.

A Lee They are thinking logically lol. Logic would tell them that the Ravens have tendencies to take the best player available and it works. Why not grab the best running back in the draft class when you’re the best running team in the NFL, who cares if you’ve got Mark Ingram and the Gus-Bus. That just means more rest for them. This wide receiver class is absolutely stacked too that’s why you see guys like Jerry Jeudy falling outside the top 10. But honestly the Ravens could go in any direction they please and if you think they should go for a certain position that’s fine too. These mock drafts don’t matter at all at the end of the day.

*Disclaimer* I’m not saying this is what I would do if I were the Ravens, i’m just defending Buckey and Daniel’s picks because they do make a good point and people just don’t get it when they critique them sometimes. It’s their literal job to do this and they’ve done the scouting and film-watching for years.. Or else someone else would have their jobs lol. Just putting some respect on their names.

I give them slack because these guys have connections. While there is a collective of Herbert #3 QB, how many people had Daniel Jones going to the Giants and Trubisky going to the Bears so high at this point in time a month before their NFL draft?

I honestly think Love can and will be a better QB than Herbert, but they can’t ruin him by throwing him out too early. I was hoping he would fall to the Steelers in round two because he had a poor year, but I also hoped we’d get Mahomes well before people knew he was an elite pro prospect.

Dirty Randy Higgins isn’t even top 6 in the draft…lamb, jeudy, Ruggs, Jefferson, Mims, Aiyuke all better than Higgins

Higgins is going to fall to at least the middle of the 2nd round, not saying he’s bad, but he didn’t work out and a lot of the receivers who were ranked lower impressed at the combine. On top of that, teams already know how deep the draft is at receiver so they’re going to wait until later to get that position, (especially once Jeudy, Ruggs, and Lamb are gone) knowing that there’ll be someone serviceable until the 3rd Round or later. It’s like how most teams wait to draft a running back until later, unless there is a true standout in the class, it’s because they know that position is most likely going to have a player that can be serviceable in later rounds.
