Honestly just wished Edelman went to the Bucs too.. would’ve completed the Trio. All three are such a delight and amazing
@Hellz Would have been way too OP. Edelman would have intercepted the interceptions Tom threw. The Bucs would have to be split into two teams to make it fair for the rest of the NFL.
@Leeroy Jenkins I’d definitely trade Godwin for Edelman. Godwin got butter fingers at the WORST possible times. That is if Edelman was still playing and could only be acquired via trade. Honestly I’m starting to think Mike and Godwin are a tad bit overrated, same with OJ Howard they boasted so much about this offense but the only guys that can seem to get open is AB, Gronk, Fournette and occasionally Brate. 3 of those guys Brady brought with him where is the top receivers they were said to have Mike be daydreaming and gets no separation between him and his defenders granted its probably because he’s a lil beat up but the daydreaming and allowing balls to ricochet off hands into INT’s is unnaceptable.
@Paul Burton Evans usually ends up being covered by the best CB the opposing team has. They don’t really have a choice in the matter because Evans is both really tall, and really fast. I’ll admit the INT off his hands was unacceptable, but everyone makes a mistake here and there. Evans is also really underrated at route blocking. I’d definitely trade Godwin for Edelman though. Just because Edelman doesn’t drop passes. Also him and Tom are super in sync.

@Cracktune Not even close? Lol, they’ve broken countless records. They’re second all time to Manning and Harrison’s 116 TD’s with 106 and counting.. They’re 1st all time in the playoffs, and If Gronk wasn’t so injury prone they would have another like 30+ TD’s too. So I’m not necessarily sure how they’re “not even close” when statistically they’re the 2nd best duo ever.

@Greysen Gagne Especially when you consider that Marvin Harrison was a wide receiver. Gronk is a tight end. He’s blocking half of his reps yet he has almost the same amount of touchdowns as Harrison and Manning… When you also factor that he’s been riddled with injuries and even took a season off, they’re clearly the best duo.

@David Faxon something important to acknowledge though is that it is easier to throw touchdowns to receivers due to their speed and ability to beat someone over the top. Tds for tight ends typically come in the red zone but the majority of scoring in the red zone comes from the run game and in the form of field goals.

Came back to this quote after AB got so mad at Tom that he left the game and then, in contrast, Gronk thanked the team for helping him get his incentives.
It’s amazing how the presence of a couple of humble, goofy guys like Tom & Gronk has changed the entire aura around the Bucs. As a long-suffering Bucs fan, it’s been great to see. Love these guys.

When Tom won his 7th ring I had to reanalyze how I thought of him. The dudes a great personality like how can you not love him. Great guy and obviously cares about those around him
