We could take a much bigger step as a defense if we were to hire a competent defensive coordinator. Sadly, he’ll get another season to put up record breaking bad defense again. Browns SB 2022/2023. Once we hire Wade Phillips or something.
He could be worse… He did have a top 10 rush defense last year, despite awful linebackers and a DT in Ogunjobi that hasn’t played well since his sophomore season

He may be but it’s best to wait and see after a season with a new team. He does have some upside and is young and get better. Depth is always good.
He is 25 years old and runs a 4.5-40, the Browns are getting younger and faster on defense.
