@Chris Reynolds …….Long story Chris, are you ready…….. the year is 1970 (I’m ten years old) it’s the school summer holidays and we’ve played football (Soccer), all day, everyday for 6-weeks…… Then, our only leather football bursts and we can’t play footy anymore! So, we fold-up the ball and it’s American Football shaped…… Now, there’s 20 English kids and the only thing we know about American Football is; you wear crash helmets, have numbers on the front of your shirt and can smash the cr*p out of everybody! So, that’s what we do (remembering that at that time NFL coverage was 5 minutes per YEAR) we divide into two teams – the New York JETS vs. the New York Sharks (Yes, we’d seen West Side Story)….. I became a JET that day and fifty-one years later – I’m still a JET. Also, it’s worth noting that the UK only started showing NFL in 1985 (That’s why we have a large number of 49’ers, Dolphins, Bears and Raiders over here and now of course a number of Pats fans also known as glory-hunters) did I consider changing teams for glory – nahhhhh; the JETS are the coolest team in the NFL – always have been, always will be. GO-JETS 🇬🇧

The team hasn’t played a snap this year so I’m not gonna anoint anyone yet but it seems like for the first time in a long time there is finally competence at 1 Jets Drive. As a long suffering fan, that’s pretty much all you can ask for in June.
