Fan feedback has been crucial so we are going to disregard the fan favorite option. Stars point to military so I’m hoping for redtails, generals is probably taken because of the usfl team launching this spring. If it’s commanders imma be disappointed

Huge mistake not to go with Redwolves or Wolves and deal with the copyright issues. The team has such a poor relationship with the fans (the few that are left) that going against fan wishes is a bigtime mistake for this once great franchise.

A real testament to how our Owner has mismanaged a franchise during his entire tenure. To have the pressure to change the team name for a decade and never apply or secure certain names is an oversight that cannot be forgiven. To say that the name that the fans and the history of the team would align with perfectly is not available because of a trademarking issue shows that.

Redwolves was my choice from the very first time I heard it, shortly after Washington got rid of the name Redskins.
I’m embarrassed to be a fan of this team. I know, in my soul, they will get this decision wrong. I was super invested in a ‘wolves’ based name. Glad to see that trademarks derailed that option. We couldn’t have, maybe, spent some money to purchase the rights? Where is the money going then? Our stadium dumps sewage on fans and the railings are falling off. Dan Snyder is now, officially, one of the best sales people for the Baltimore Ravens.

Living in Dallas and a Cowboy fan since age 8, I’ve enjoyed some great games and rivalry moments through the years.
I love the current uniform look and even the name. Hate to see them change it again.

As a Cowboys fan as, I love the name Football team, I really think it’s a cool vibe, trademark. If not, I really like Redtails.
I’m friends with Cowboys fans and they like the Redskins name. They think the name change is dumb
The list of names remaining after Redwolves was rejected off the list, are all really terrible names for any team.
Original name 1932 was Braves, and logo 1965-1969 was a spear. This together would have been heritage AND respect.
I would avoid names associated with any minority group in today’s overly sensitive SJW climate.
Lest you want to change names again…
This could have worked had they made that change 5-10 years ago on their own and remained today (KC Chiefs name has survived)
