I don’t care what happens, I just want Herbert to lead the Bolts esport team to the Fortnite world cup at this rate

    Justin Herbert The pervert

    Huh?

Jus the Truth

I like JJ but where was this earlier on in the season?

    Randall Turner

@Another WorldView Is Possible wait what? You’re talking about actual politics, I’m talking about team politics. I don’t care who they vote for ffs.

You obviously don’t know what median means. Median run is 50% over, 50% under. If two runners have a 6ypc average, but one has (for every 10 carrys) a 50yd run and nine one yard runs, the other gets exactly 6 yards every run, the first’s median is 1, the other’s is 6. The second’s an all-pro, the first gets cut. Same ypc.

Having long runs from scrimmage at a set ypc isn’t a good thing, Einstein. It means the other carrys are drive killers.

JJ’s on the verge of becoming a FA, dude. Unless he can have a few more good games.

    Another WorldView Is Possible

@Randall Turner Yes… He IS about to enter free agency… Which is why in terms of a team business strategy, it makes sense to keep his costs down, since they’re probably going to try to resign him. He knows the system, he sells out on blocking and special teams – he’s good player, and the Chargers are notoriously cheap. Ekler was a rare exception – but he’s under contract for a while, and promoting him makes sense, both for the Team’s profile and fanbase growth – but also as a way to maximize his value, when, as with last year’s Star Cornerback – they trade him, right before his contract expires.

The Chargers have a way of making some good running backs look like less than they really are (Melvin Gordon) – and making others look better than they really are (I’ll just let you guess, who I’m thinking of). They like Ekler for good reason, he’s a solid back, who works hard, has great character and a Horatio Alger backstory. But they push the stories about some, over others. And they give some guys more opportunities and HYPE, than others.

Personally, when I see a guy push for a 70%+ popular idea like single payer healthcare for ALL…and against two high profile politicians, one of whom claimed to support the idea (but not enough to actually do anything to advance the cause, like #ForceTheVote) – I think he should be getting some face time and recognition, if not the Walter Payton award… But not only did they not show any interest in covering or promoting the story – they actually put him on ice, in a game where they needed him, just to keep his name out of the press…

JJ has lots of great productive plays this year, and throughout his time with the Chargers. He’s even put the team on his back on a few occasions, and kept them in games vs division opponents.

That’s an interesting definition of Median that the they’re using…why don’t you tell me what both of their numbers are.

I gotta say – they tend to pull him out in easy scoring situations – and we know that he can do the job. He has good fundamentals and won’t hang the ball out for a fumble, say… And like I said, in the games where he lost yards or came up with a few short runs, I saw Ekler and the other backs getting stuffed, too … And JJ always has an equal, near equal, or superior YPC. And he gets way less reps… Sometimes he gets sent in on obvious running downs, and meets a defense that just smelled out the play. In one instance that he got stopped back behind the line, a receiver in motion let a free linebacker get right past him… So I don’t always think that Justin should be given the full blame for how things go. As we saw this past week – he can do it all, too.

    Randall Turner

@Another WorldView Is Possible “That’s an interesting definition of median they’re using.” WHAT?

There is only one definition of mathematical median! And we’re not talking about freeway lane dividers, so there’s only one definition of median period. You don’t know math, you don’t know football, and you don’t know personnel even – we didn’t trade Heyward, Gordon was shot, etc.

And I take it back. Chargers are probably looking to release JJ, because his political activism is a distraction and divisive to the fan base. They don’t care about the politics itself, mind. It’s a negative factor because it’s not football. If his attitude is the same as yours, ie, touches, “looking good”, that’s going to drive his market value even lower. All I care about is winning games and I’m starting to want him gone.

How can you possibly think the Chargers should take a position on a partisan political issue? That’s insane!

Parker stephens

First td in 4 years just to drop the ball to lose to the Texans who cares

    Another WorldView Is Possible

He’d have more TD’s if they didn’t had the easy walk-ins to Ekler, Kelly and Roundtree, after he gets multiple first downs in a drive, or breaks off a 70 yard run to the goal line… Just sayin’… And he doesn’t fumble often – that was a good strip, and that kind of thing can happen, no matter how good you are about ball security. Look at the other backups and Ekler… all have big fumbles and picks off of them.

Julian Radillo12

Seems like every time he has a good game the Chargers loose.

    Another WorldView Is Possible

He doesn’t play Defense, or throw interceptions. And frequently, he’ll make a big play, and get them into scoring position – only to be replaced by Ekler, or Kelly or Roundtree, in the red zone… So I don’t think that’s on him. He has the longest Charger runs from scrimmage, two years in a row, now.

Bolts need another key offensive lineman and have to go out for Devante Adams and we need another defensive line man and a mid-paid linebacker that can help with run defense

    Justin Herbert The pervert

Also we should peruse jalen Ramsey if possible

    evolintentz1

Herbert and Adams would be a nightmare for everyone

Anthonie Weyland

Can we just win out w/o promotions please ? 🙏

clownfish92_

He’s obviously good he just pisses down his leg in big moments

    Danny Dolan

Its still very early in his career

    Notjustklownin

I think this is his 5th season, so it’s definitely not early in his career, especially when the average NFL career is 3-4 years

    Danny Dolan

@Notjustklownin Oh wow nvm. Thats a much different situation.

ohroonoko

Let’s have 2 very convincing wins to finish the season and hope we make the playoffs.

jared morales

His fumble lost the game. Idc if he marched down and scored, there wasn’t enough time left on the clock, we had to score on the previous drive

    Notjustklownin

Multiple mistakes contributed to the loss, not just his fumble.

    jared morales

@Notjustklownin Well obviously but that fumble drastically lowered the chances of winning. Really the defense lost the game but we still had a chance for the offense to win until that fumble

    Notjustklownin

@jared morales why are you highlighting this mistake when all other mistakes contributed just as much to the loss, that’s weird.

Randall Turner

Jackson’s contribution to the passing game for us was also huge. Nine targets, eight receptions. Total of 98 receiving yards, led the team. Probably gave the coaching staff more confidence keeping him in on passing downs.

    Another WorldView Is Possible

They need to give him more opportunities, and show him more respect.

Kexin

This happened because the Texans were all in on stopping the pass.

Dr Stupid

Me Chargers !!! Me shoot self in foot 10 times , try win game. Me Chargers !!! Me shoot self in foot 2 more times , make sure foot shot .
