DQ should’ve been gone, not TD. The FO wasn’t the overall problem. DQ held us back and choked just like with the SB. Dude was 0-5 with all the talent he had. AB did right giving them a chance because a 7-9 record isn’t horrible. Terry and Arthur SMith don’t have pateicne and years to get it right because we’re already set up. WE have plenty of talent. WE should’ve made the playoffs last year with the talent we have. TErry has a lot to live up to because TD had drafts that loaded this team. He also has to hit and find talent in the late rounds like Gage, Olakun, Jarrett, etc.

@Slimkidd730 I disagree. Dimitroff is the reason we are in cap hell. Just look at that contract he gave out to Dante Fowler last year… The only reason he was relatively productive in 2019 was because he was lined-up alongside Aaron Donald. Apart from Mack, he’s been meh in terms of free agent acquisitions.

As for the draft, yes he’s done well identifying talent in the later rounds. However, his picks in the early rounds have been suspect at best. The 2017 draft was a complete and utter disaster.

Dimitroff should have been fired long ago, he should have gone with Smitty tbh.

@nur hussein We’re in cap hell because of COVID and the NFL decreasing the salary cap. TD has overall always been good with cap. Even those who never liked him admit that. This cap stuff is a small moment in time. Its like like the saints. By next year everything is status quo. Yes, Fowler was one of the best pass rushers on the market and DQs guy plus we had no choice. Don’t just cvherry pick Fowlers contract. Look at ALL the FAs TD brought in starting with Turner .

That isn’t true, Michael Turner, pro bowler? Sanu? Robinson? Taylor Bagbriel? Koo? Koo is one of the best kickers in the game and just made the pro bowl. What you’re saying is FACTUALLY INCORRECT. Thank you for bringing up 17′ draft, thats my point. You had to go 4 YEARS AGO to name a bad draft. Funny how you skipped, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20 ‘drafts, etc. Why is that? No, TD shouldn’t have been fired and it was common sense because soon as we got a new HC 2 years later we made a SB and was up 28-3 and SHOULD’VE won it. Its not TDs fault KS and DQ are chokers. Thats my entire point, the FO was/is fine, its the c coaching. What? DQ took us to the SB all by himself?

@Slimkidd730 I’m in no way absolving Quinn from this. If it were up to me he would have been fired right after that Super Bowl collapse. Although, I do understand why they didn’t.

However, to say Dimitroff should still be employed is quite simply laughable. This man couldn’t scout defensive lineman if his life were to depend on it… Can I interest you Biermann in 2008? Is that too far back for you? How about Jerry, Sudbury or Walker in 2009. Hmm, I guess the likes of Massaquoi, Robertson, Maponga, Goodman and Hageman set the world on fire? Don’t get me started on Mr one-move, no effort Vic Beasley – he sure did work out… Let’s just call it what it is, he lucked out on Grady Jarrett who has been a god send. This defense has been putrid year after year, and the man who’s job is to build it gets a pass? Hmm interesting.

So in 12 years as GM, only Mack, Turner, Koo, Sanu, Bryant, Clayborn, and Gabriel showed promise… Is that what we’re celebrating? No wonder we’ve been languishing in mediocrity season after season, briefly interrupted by a fluke year when some fans think an inept executive is doing a good job.

Now let’s quickly run thorough some awful free agent signings under his stewardship. Tyson Jackson, Ray Edwards, Steven Jackson, Dunta Robinson, Paul Soliai, Jon Asamoah and most recently Carpenter, Brown and Fowler. There’s many more, but if I were to list them all I’d be here all day.

@Josh M Outside of Pitts & Sewell at 4, I don’t see any other better options but trading back. Hell…It wouldn’t shock me one bit, if Terry Fontenot decides to trade back with these guys on the board. However, even though our offense doesn’t need immediate attention in certain areas…They’re (Sewell & Pitts) high ranked BPA who can come in and help right away.

@G&G ofc they are Terry Fontenot is a GM that adds to strength. Sometimes it helps sometimes it pointless, but I completely disagree with a wr in the 1st or 2nd round. For me I say stay put draft Sewell or Parsons, or trade back and get AVT and Surtain II
