Fantasy Football Week 10: 5 Sleepers You Can’t Afford to Bench

Is it really already Week 10 of the NFL season? Fantasy football regular seasons are coming to an end and each owner is trying to make that final playoff push.

If one of your studs is on bye or injured this week, whether it’s Jamaal Charles, Rob Gronkowski or Marques Colston, then get your league’s waiver wire immediately. Chances are you may be able to snag one of these hidden gems.

Here is a list of five sleepers that you cannot afford to bench for Week 10.

Eli Manning, New York Giants, Quarterback

After a horrendous start to the season, Eli Manning has managed to not throw an interception in his last two games. Shocking, right?

Fantasy football owners should look to give Manning a start if they are in need of a quarterback this week. The New York Giants are going up against the Oakland Raiders, who let Nick Foles throw for seven touchdowns on them. Manning should have no problem picking apart the Raiders defense with the Giants playing at home.

Expect him to put up a stat line of at least 250 yards passing and two touchdowns.

Riley Cooper, Philadelphia Eagles, Wide Receiver

Whenever Nick Foles gets the start, it seems like Riley Cooper puts up numbers that make him seem as if he is a top wide receiver in the NFL. In Nick Foles’ last three games, Cooper has 15 receptions, 347 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Not too shabby.

With Foles set to start again this week after having a career performance, Cooper should be in line for another big outing. Don’t expect Foles to torch the Green Bay Packers secondary, but there is no reason that Cooper won’t catch at least five passes and a touchdown. He and Foles clearly have great chemistry.

Lance Moore, New Orleans Saints, Wide Receiver

With Marques Colston out with an injury, expect Drew Brees to rekindle his chemistry with Lance Moore. Last week, we saw signs of Moore breaking out, recording six receptions on 10 targets and 70 yards.

Moore has been a huge disappointment so far this season. Last year, Moore recorded over 1,000 receiving yards. Up until last week, Moore only had seven receptions on the season. Fantasy owners should look at giving Moore a start as their FLEX. The New Orleans Saints are playing against the Dallas Cowboys, who have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. Look for Moore to be targeted at least 10 times by Brees.

Timothy Wright, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tight End

If you are in need of a tight end, go out and pick up Timothy Wright right now.

Wright has scored back-to-back weeks and has clearly become one of Mike Glennon’s go-to receivers. Not only has he scored consecutive weeks, but Wright has also managed to record nine receptions for 106 receiving yards.

He isn’t going to put up ridiculous numbers ever because Wright’s quarterback is Glennon, but he is emerging as a consistent top-10 fantasy tight end. Expect another productive outing for Wright as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Miami Dolphins.

Jake Locker, Tennessee Titans, Quarterback

If Jake Locker did not get injured early on in the season, fantasy football owners could be potentially naming him as one of the best sleepers this year.

In his last two starts since returning from injury, Locker has thrown for over 500 yards and two touchdown passes, while running for another touchdown. Locker has proven that he is viable fantasy quarterback option with his ability to throw and run the ball.

The Tennessee Titans are going up against the worst team in the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Locker should have no problem putting up at least 15 fantasy points.
